You forgot one gigantic sin, the worst of the entire episode:
Sky was suddenly able to manage everything that was expected of a Wonderbolt recruit after he couldn't even fly - within a few hours or days or so.
That heavily undermines how tough it supposedly is to even be accepted into the academy and to manage the tasks there.
It would have been a MUCH better ending to have him fail the tryouts and not make it but to have HER make it and have him cheer for her for a change while resigning himself to working hard and trying again next year.
I see what you’re saying but it looks like Sky was always a great flyer, he just always depended on Vaper, once he didn’t, he showed his true potential, hope that sorta explains it better.

Don't worry! It's not obligatory Starlight, she's _continually_ learning and absorbing friendship information but it'd be unnerving for us if she was instead seen hiding in the background and eavesdropping. Also, she's super protective of her new -mother- mentor, Twilight. She gotta be there.

Here's a sin for you: How did none of the academy instructors notice that Vapor Trail was constantly helping Sky Stinger? You would think the incident with Lightning Dust would encourage them to make sure that the cadets are being properly supervised during training.

Vapor and Sky are an amazing ship.There should have been more episodes about them before the series ended. And I love this episode I remember Rainbow saying you can call her T sparks and call me the Dashenator.

I did the math, so you don't have to! I realized LittleshyFiM is making 1 "Everything Wrong With" video a month and is currently on the 24 episode of season 6. That means there are 78 episodes left. 78 months divided by 12 means it will take 6.5 years for him to make an "Everything Wrong With" video for every My Little Pony episode. And I just have to say, I fully admire him. That is dedication. But again, I'd understand if he stopped making videos about it. Either way, I appreciate how much work goes into each video! :)

I get a lot of the issues people have with the ship, but the idea of an egotist getting seriously knocked down a peg, having their ego broken, and then having to relearn to be a person is... pretty compelling stuff for a story. Even if the episode didn't handle it perfectly. But hey, that's where fanfics come in. And besides, Vapor is painfully cute. If she's already this head over hooves for Sky, I want to see him become someone worthy of that, yknow?

The only off the wall friendship antics of this episode was when Twilight went through that wall prior to teaching those students the dynamics of flying.

I always found this episode to be average at best but i enjoy it nonetheless, especially the parts with Sky Stinger and Vapor Trail i can still remember when a lot of people myself included shipping those two, Vapor Trail was just adorable!!!
And i always found the parts where RD says "I was just there" to be hilarious and i could kinda understand her frustrations with that, because sometimes i feel the same way.
anyway i give this episode 6/10.
Can't wait for how much sins the underrated Season 6 finale is going to get. And this is just a prediction for the part 2 thumbnail, but if Thorax's new look appears somewhere on it to showcase a reaction, then I'll say: "Called it!!" when part 1 comes out next month.
5:32 I like to think the map saw the makings of underlying friendship problems that it thought Twilight and Rainbow Dash could expose and then fix. This being Sky's ego and Vapor always helping him. So the problems were already there, they just weren't known at first, so the mao sent them there before the issues could get to a point where it's irreversible.

To be fair to Spitfire, it's normal to take off your clothes in a locker room. Presumably she's changing from her "workout" dress blues into her... "work" dress blues. Yeah. Seems legit.
The map knew where the friendship was going to be headed once Sky learned he couldn’t fly on his own during the solo trials. There would have been an investigation, Spitfire would have called both of them out and things probably would have turned out much worse because for her it’s more business as usual because being the captain she has to be looking out for each recruit. Harmony probably wants to ensure they make it through the academy with their friendship in tact as they’d both be very good co-leaders.

How is there not a sin for the fact that Rainbow Dash and Twilight never would've felt compelled to get Sky Stinger and Vapor Trail back together if Spitfire hadn't chewed Rainbow out for Sky Stinger performing so poorly during the solo trials? Heck, how is there not a sin for Rainbow Dash thinking she could get Sky to improve without telling him that he's bad? If Sky thinks he can do fine on his own, he's not gonna see any need to improve.

I think it was a friendship problem because it was a very dangerous relationship (haha) at that point since Vapor thought she had to help him and thought it was ok to lie to a friend, and Sky was dependent on Vapor but didnt even know it (an interesting dynamic icl). I feel like the tree did resolve a friendship problem, albeit a bit late perhaps

Sin 4: Starlight wasn’t just sitting there. She’s trying to learn about friendship by watching the others on their way to do the maps bidding.
Sin 7: twilight didn’t know it was rainbow dash being called because her cutie mark arrived there when she did too. so twilight had no way of knowing.
Sin 13: I think spitfire was just curious, but she sounds very assertive.
Sin 24: They both have probably practiced enough with each other for vapor to know skies moves.
Sin 25: sky can at least pull himself off the ground, however scootaloo cannot even hover for more than a few seconds, so it would be most likely impossible for Dash to help her or get under her.
Sin 29: sky, most likely got worse and worse overtime because he didn’t try as hard. when he was younger, we saw him going up very high but now he can’t go very high so I think he’s just gotten used to vapor helping him.

Gonna disagree with the map being the source of the issue bit. Sky never knowing vapor was helping, and vapor never telling him, had been the issue the entire time. Also the reason the map waited was probably because it didn't exist until recently and their issue was pretty minor compared to the others it called the group for.
