Geez, I'd forgotten all about these vices. I had one bought for me as a teenager in the mid/late 70's when I got interested in woodworking as a hobby. I can remember doing all sorts of boyhood projects with it, using scrap/found wood and reclaimed screws/nails/bolts. Glad to see yours came out so nice.

@@PeteLewisWoodwork yea they are an interesting concept being aluminium. An unusual tool I think. My dad found another one of these at a boot sale the other week for £2 so they're still easy enough to find on the used market.

I have one of those from my late father. Its been clamped to the workshop roof for a bit. Perhaps it time to get it back in use
