After riding in Arizona and Nevada a couple weeks ago, I came home with blisters on my right calf. After talking to the Harley tech in Nevada, he suggested I remove the catalytic and have the pipes ceramic coated. Im looking forward to this series and getting more information. I also a 2019 trike, just like yours!
Man, sorry about that. Unfortunately a lot of folks are experiencing the same thing. More in the series coming soon. Congrats on your TG...I really enjoy mine.
Thanks man, appreciate the comment. We do not put anything on our website without testing it and seeing good results. (Yes, we test a lot of parts that end up in the recycle pile because they just don't do what we thought they would). 👍
What are your thoughts on torque cones? Am putting strait pipes and high flow air cleaner on my 13 TRI glide also putting on your FL-VIED fuel enrichment.
We have tested multiple different torque cones over the years. We have not found any that produced a measurable increase in power. Which is too bad, because they are easy to make...but we do not make them (even though a lot of folks would buy them because of the myth of their benefits) What will absolutely increase your low and mid range power, by quite a nice bump, are Thunder Torque Inserts™. They install on the exit end of the exhaust, opposite of a Torque Cone that installs up near the cylinder heads. Got the external breather from you guys, moved my oil filter to be in the wind, and put some Love Jugs on.Keeps the bike cooler, but not me. Going for the tank lift next. Like your jeans, what are they ? Good info.in your vids.
Thank you, we appreciate your business, and glad to hear you're enjoying the cooling benefits of the parts. I wear kevlar lined jeans. I have some from Draggin Jeans and from Crave.
I have done your tank lift, cooling wings, mighty mite fans and external breather system. Very happy so far. When budget allows I will do the filter relocation with oil cooler. My bike is a 2015 Tri Glide. My question is if I have the failure of the water pump that some have had a problem with, do I need to replace it or can you just run it as an air cooled motor? Thanks for your videos they are always helpful and interesting.
Glad you are enjoying the benefits of the mods from us. Regarding water pump failure...many say you can go ahead and ride it. Myself, I would get it replaced as soon as possible, and if I felt I had to ride it at all with no functioning water pump, it would be very limited and very gently with close attention to heat.
i had to get rid of HD bc it took the joy away from riding in summer due to the engine being so hot. I would have bought a car-sise fan & mounted it where the horn is.
@@DKCustomProducts Thanks for conversing! Is the biggest allowable fan a good option or what do you suggest? ( i was thinking about a 11” fan like from a jap car )

I installed the DK tank lifts on my 2017 Street Glide. Easy install. Looks great, helps to show off those big beautiful heads. Gives it a little bit of that old school chopper hot rod look. Helps get the heat off also. Did the DK external breathers also, bike runs much better and is about 10 to 15 degrees cooler with these two add ons. Now running at about 290 degrees. I'm going to do a few more things to get it cooler, but a good start for now.
Cool. Yeah that is a great start, and we appreciate your business. Goal should be to get that oil temp down to 230 or lower. We'll be going over why and how in the rest of the series.

Thanks man, appreciate your business. On the audio, we have gone thru a series of microphones, and are now at a $200 Rodes mic. Might be as good as it gets...the problem may be my voice! LOL Open to any suggestions.
You can use a dipstick Temperature Gauge. HD sells them, as do some aftermarket companies. Or you can use a meat thermometer, like one seen at the link below. Run 30-60 minutes at highway speeds to get the engine fully hot, then check the oil at the oil fill hole right away. Don't rely on an infrared gun, they do not give good readings when shooting into the oil tank. www.amazon.com/Mechanical-Thermometer-Waterproof-Required-Stainless/dp/B07Q85J62R/ref=sr_1_10?dchild=1&keywords=cooking+temp+gauge&qid=1606321533&sr=8-10

@@phillipmckeownakalucifer.6689 Yeah, it is not good what Harley did on the 2021's. The probability is that a Stage I (free flowing air cleaner & exhaust) can be added without a tune...but if it were me, I would wait to make sure. Should not be long now.
I wish harley would offer a full on liquid cooled motor. Overhead cam or an electronic servo actuated valve train. The later would be so awesome, you could change valve lift and duration characteristics with a tune. Im almost 50 years old, im probably only going to buy one or two more bikes in my lifetime. But in my generation I've known the performance benefits of overhead cams and liquid cooling my entire life. Heritage my ass, the generation that wanted 1940's technology has all but gone.
