A million thanks! This has to be one of the best tutorials I have seen on anything. I have been searching for instructions for french beaded flowers so I can make my bridal bouquet and this has given me the confidence to do it. Looking forward to more tutorials.
oh my gosh...I just went to the library to check out a book on bead work...and it has that flower that your working on. I read and looked at the picture, but I just didn;t get it until i actually how it was being made....now i get it, and will be able to understand the book. Thank you so much on showing, and yes, you have such a wonderful way of showing and explaining. THANK YOU!!! and keep making more videos...I will subscribe to your channel.
Thank you so much for this video. I have just started beading and your video made it much easier to learn how to construct the basic frame. I checked out some great french beaded flower books from the library, but some things have to be seen to be understood!! I can't wait for your next tutorial!
Lana I love watching your videos. I think they are well planed out. I have followed you. I would love to see more flower making. I am 72 making my first ever flower. Thank you so much. To see it start to finished is awesome. I dislike when they show you some and stop. I learn by watching. Than you and God Bless
Thank you for your comment :)! I always appreciate the feedback I get from my viewers. I'm glad to hear that you're taking up this beautiful hobby, too. Keep it up!
Holy Cow!!! you make it look so simple but when I tried it, those little suckers are sure slippery and then my wire unraveled then my hands got sweaty BUT I did manage to get it done. it looks a little crooked it but hopefully the next "leaf" I'll get it done better. Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH...and yes, you are a real good teacher!. This was fun.
Great! I'm glad to know someone is following along with the course :) I'll be making a new video soon, but it won't be until at least next week because the rest of this month is very very busy.
Omg! You make it look so easy, lol I am a beginner so it's not looking good especially cause I don't no how to turn it to a 90 degree angle lol and then a forty five, but I'm thankful that you made theses videos and happy as well so Keep up the good work....
Hello, I am beginner to French beading and thanks for your detailed and simple- to- understand instructions. Please upload the third and fourth basic techniques of beading also. I will definitely try it and mail you my work soon.
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I'm still working out a time to film the next video with my friend who's agreed to videotape for me. Hopefully it won't be too much longer! Thank you for your patience :) I'll try and work out a mini pattern for a hair clip. I'm not very experienced at that so I'm not sure the best way to go about attaching it, but I'll see what I can do. :)
fabulous! You have a great way of making things really clear - thank you. When can we expect the next lesson? Also, can you show us how we can attach these flowers to a hair clip? (Just wrap the stem wire around the clip?)
Keep trying! It definitely isn't easy the first time around, but I'm glad you enjoyed it :) It can take a while to get them so they aren't crooked, but that's ok. Flowers in nature aren't always perfect, and when you get the whole flower put together I'm sure you'll find that it looks great anyway :)
Hi, I'm not sure where you are, but you should be able to find paddle wire in the floral section of a craft store :). Here, Michael's and Walmart usually have it. Check out Lesson 1 for information on where to find different supplies.
Sylvia, for some reason it wont let me do a direct reply to you. I hope you see this comment. The beads I used in this video are just cheap ones from the Dollar Tree. They are clear glass beads with silver lining, which gives them the beautiful sparkle.
@lilleesummers You should give it a shot! You can turn some of the flowers into jewelry if you wanted to. I've seen flowers made into hair clips and rings.
Hi there! Thanks for the nice comments :) I'm glad this helped you to understand the pattern you were reading better. The flower pattern in my videos is one that I wrote myself, but I'm sure there are ones in the books that are very similar because it's such a basic flower. I hope you enjoy making these beautiful pieces of art, and thanks for subscribing :)
Hi Esther! Thanks for the comment. If you would like a complete list of supplies, please watch Lesson 1. Generally speaking, you'll want 26 to 28 gauge floral paddle wire. You can find that in the flower arranging section of craft stores and at some dollar stores.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! There isn't a lot of free information out there on how to make French beaded flowers, so that's why I decided to do the videos. Making your own bridal bouquet is a great idea! It could be a bit of a challenge, so if you have any questions feel free to ask!
hola, sabes es muy hermoso estas manualidades lo q es a mi me facina y relaga, e aprendido hacer otros bonsai biendote, pero me gustaria saber si tienes mas tutoria para poner x youtube xfa. gracias
Hi, Amoresable :). I do have a plan for another video, but I'm not sure when I will be able to get it done. I can tell you, though, that it will be instructions on how to lace petals with the pattern for the anemone flower featured in my channel trailer.
¡Hola! Mi español no es muy bueno :S. Estoy planeando hacer un nuevo video pronto, pero me rompió mi cámara así que puede ser un tiempo ... : ( ¡Gracias por el comentario! :)
I'm wondering why my petal looks so much smaller than yours?? Even if our beads are different sizes, I would think that having a 1/2" basic frame would make it even out.......
I suppose you could, but personally, I think the style is better suited to a hair accessory. I have another video on my channel showing how to make these flowers into hair clips.
Hi there, I get my paddle wire at a craft store called Michaels in the floral arranging section. I usually use a 28 gauge wire, but 26 or even possibly a 30 gauge are ok, too. :) for more information on the supplies used, check out my Lesson 1 video.
Hi Sandra. I'm sorry, I don't have a video about making a sunflower. I know there are bead books that you can buy that have a pattern for sunflowers, though. Thanks for watching my videos :) I'm glad you like them.
