Is it possible to make earrings and a pendant like this. I want to find something to make for my wife for Mothers Day?
I suppose you could, but personally, I think the style is better suited to a hair accessory. I have another video on my channel showing how to make these flowers into hair clips.
Even just a flower on its own makes a very nice present :)
thank you for starting out slot with this video. ive been beading for a while now but havent made any of these flowers yet. i usually do bead stitching and bead embroidery. i came across some of these flowers and they really are gorgeous!!! i cant wait to try one of my own!

I want to make a hibiscus, which I think I can do, but I am not sure how to gauge the number of beads I need for the different colors. RE: the inside will be a deep burgandy and the outer portion will be yellow. If I string them on the wire, how to stop the burgandy and begin the yellow. Do you have any thoughts?
Hi Pam. Sorry I've taken so long to get back to you. A Hibiscus will be beautiful! It's a bit hard to explain the technique through a comment like this, but if you email me at crystalgarden.FlowersbyLana@gmail.com I'll be happy to help!

Lana I love watching your videos. I think they are well planed out. I have followed you. I would love to see more flower making. I am 72 making my first ever flower. Thank you so much. To see it start to finished is awesome. I dislike when they show you some and stop. I learn by watching. Than you and God Bless
Thank you for your comment :)! I always appreciate the feedback I get from my viewers. I'm glad to hear that you're taking up this beautiful hobby, too. Keep it up!
Hi there! Thanks for sharing your videos.Could you tell me what kind of wire should I buy? Thanks !
Hi Esther! Thanks for the comment. If you would like a complete list of supplies, please watch Lesson 1. Generally speaking, you'll want 26 to 28 gauge floral paddle wire. You can find that in the flower arranging section of craft stores and at some dollar stores.
I am just starting to make flowers after several years of crafting bracelets and necklaces, Your videos have made it so much easier to understand the written instructions I received with a kit I bought. Thank you so very much
I found when I was learning from books it was really hard to figure things out initially, so I'm glad I could help! Thank you for your comment :)
you are very inspirational, many thanks from an English friend
Wow, thank you. That's very sweet of you :)
Will you Lana be showing any more videos or this is it?
Hi, Amoresable :). I do have a plan for another video, but I'm not sure when I will be able to get it done. I can tell you, though, that it will be instructions on how to lace petals with the pattern for the anemone flower featured in my channel trailer.
Great videos! I had trouble with the 45 degree angle on the other video at first but figured it out. Oh, I have a tip in case you don't know-16 seed beads equals approximately 1 inch. My flowers turned out great, thanks! Addicted!
Thanks for the comment, Diana! Glad you figured out the angles. I know it's tricky when you're just beginning. Great tip, too :) Just keep in mind that if you buy a lower quality of seed beads, they tend to be all different lengths. So, best bet is always measure....unless of course you've got uniform beads :). Just as a side note: lower quality beads still work perfectly for this craft, since the less uniform shape of the beads just adds an interesting texture. Have fun, and happy beading!
you are a great teacher :)
Hi,what size(s) of bead is required for this project?
I use size 11 for the most part, but if you go a little bigger or smaller it'll give your flowers a different look
Flowers by Lana Thanks
Superdi
You didn't state what size seed beads.
I usually use size 11, but it all depends on the look you're going for.
hello i wonder do u make sunflower type thing i like watch ur u tube i that how u make petals thanks for tips
Hi Sandra. I'm sorry, I don't have a video about making a sunflower. I know there are bead books that you can buy that have a pattern for sunflowers, though. Thanks for watching my videos :) I'm glad you like them.
I love French beaded flowers. Finally found how to make them. Thank you so much. Will you be making anymore patterns or tutorials any time soon?

Where do you get your paddle wire and what gauge is it
Hi there, I get my paddle wire at a craft store called Michaels in the floral arranging section. I usually use a 28 gauge wire, but 26 or even possibly a 30 gauge are ok, too. :) for more information on the supplies used, check out my Lesson 1 video.
I have many wonderful books & have had some success with flowers & sprays but your videos made it come into focus for me. Im glad your back & THANKS
Thank you :)
Hello! I'm glad that you are back! I like your videos!
***** Thank you :) and thanks for sharing, too.
In the intro on lesson 4 you show a hot pink poppy looking flower with a black center, do you have the video on how to make that one? I'm from California and would love to know how to make a beaded poppy :-) Thanks a bunch!
Jenn Roland Actually the flower in the beginning is an anemone :). Definitely looks kinda like a poppy though. I don't have a video made for it yet, but I do plan to make one!
Beautiful Lana
Hi the flower is lovely, please could you do more videos. Thanks for sharing. Stella ☺
Thank you for sharing your art. I was looking for info on making wire flowers (twisted wire) like I would use to make twisted wire rings, and I am delighted to have instead found your examples/tutorials on beaded wire flowers!
Thank you :) I'm glad you've enjoyed my videos!
Love your lessons. I have watched 1,2,& 3. How do I get number 4?
Hi Jeanie, thanks for watching! You can find the video for lesson 4 on my channel page.
it's good to see you back Lana, and a lovely demonstration. One I will try. Looking forward to your next tut
Thanks, Rose :) Very nice of you to leave a comment.
Hey lana my mom wants to know how many videos u have thnx
I just uploaded The 4th lesson today :)
do you have a pattern for a beaded rose if not where can i find one
I don't have any that I've written myself, but most of the French beaded flower books have rose patterns. Try checking your local library or look for a pattern book online.
I'm so glad I found your videos. I've just started to learn how to do these and you've helped me a lot!! Thank you!
That was awesome, but I need more of your lessons, where are you y no more videos on seed bead flowers? :(
Thanks for making these videos; really really helps!
What size beads for the size of wire listed? We use size 11 seed beads, so what size wire should we use? I have seen other sizes (.024 beading wire or 22 gauge) for wire on other sites for the size 11/0 seed beads, so don't know which one to buy.
Omg! You make it look so easy, lol I am a beginner so it's not looking good especially cause I don't no how to turn it to a 90 degree angle lol and then a forty five, but I'm thankful that you made theses videos and happy as well so Keep up the good work....
Sylvia, for some reason it wont let me do a direct reply to you. I hope you see this comment. The beads I used in this video are just cheap ones from the Dollar Tree. They are clear glass beads with silver lining, which gives them the beautiful sparkle.
Thank you so very much for these lessons! You're bead work is beautiful. You make it look so easy, amazing.
Hi Lana, what beads are you using? They sparkle lovely thanks
these videos are great! I understand a lot more with your videos than with so many other tutorials, books and magazines! because you do not do other videos? I certainly I would join your channel and I think many other people because you are very, very good!
thank you , i find your teaching is very easy to follow.
I really like your flowers. How about more videos?!
Pls write the supplies to be needed to become more clear..how about making flower beads petal shape?
