I have the older GWG-1000 and I love it. Although admittedly I never get to use it to its full potential. I just love the look of the beast on my wrist.

I have this watch , the grey and it is gorgeous , needs to be seen in RL and it doesn't wear huge , light as a feather and really comfortable. The smoke stainless bezel and downplayed logo give this bad boy a touch of class. Underneath it all she's a beast. Love the review well done !

@@Nightmareman3 it's the king so far, this is true evolution through practice. Casio have added these extra strengths for a reason. That reason is longevity.
I'm going to buy one of these just in case I get lost while out food shopping I'm also prone to trip over and fall in puddles not to mention when picking up the thick sticky muddy chocolate cakes from my local supermarket I've seen them sometimes fall out the box and go all over my hands and wrists

In WW2 I used this watch to unsuccessfully snipe my opponent because the barometer was filled with mud and I couldn't see the enemy due to bad weather.
I have the previous one still working and tough but I don't know if the upgrade is worth. As a fan of this watch I wish they have included GPS time keeping, depth meter and moon phase but I have to say that the look and the material chosen are great and solid and it looks better than the previous one.

I put my name down for a Rolex datejust, but decided on this Gshock instead. Just more fun, much stronger, more accurate and not only can it be worn in the field but you can use it as a dress watch too. I love it!

The forged carbon gives it a bit of a sleek look. And it’s smaller than the 1000. Not what I’m looking for in a G-SHOCK. I’ll take the beast GWG-1000

Would of been great if it had a GPS tracker for skiing or climbing, just incase you get lost , emergency service can find your location. Is there any watches out there with that facility.

Apart from the carbon core guard and a very slight difference in size there is very little difference to the gwg1000. Not worth the upgrade.

I'm only interested because they are finally starting to make these watches thinner. Its the reason I purchase Protreks instead but now I'm interested in adding one of these to my collection along with my solar Square and Rangemaster. Otherwise I would tell my friends to buy Protreks and but a gorilla glass screen protector on it.

I do since 2018 and works perfectly can't go wrong with this watch.
I own a 1000. The 2000 looks dumb and cheap.
In my point of view , My Mudmaster GG - B100 is better than this Mudmaster GWG 2000 . Because there is bluetooth connection. You can use many abilities from all four sensors of your watch. But GWG 2000 , there are only three sensors and You can not use many abilities from them. compass = compass , Barometer = Barometer , Altimeter = Altimeter. On the other hand , with GG - B100 and smartphone connection , You can use " Location indicator" , " Step tracker" , " Mission Log " and other many abilities.
Depends on what you do for work at what features you use more. The B-100 sounds suited for a city person
Depends on the person and maybe their occupation. I don't think in the military you want all these features since this could give away your position.

A Bear Grylls-like review…although at first I thought it was a boot and pants torture test but then…the G-shock got smeared with mud and the shit got real! 😂 don’t get me wrong, I like the watch. I just bought it. But the review is more fun than useful
£700 and it’s built in Thailand! I’ll stick with my trusty better looking gwg 1000 1a3er

Not at 1000s we’re made in Japan. It’s a silly argument anyway it makes no difference I have the 2000 and there are no quality control issues.
@@brettdriver3674 I’ve found with other gshocks I have purchased, the majority have been made in Thailand...what I have noticed is that there is definite issues with condensation inside most of them. The quality control is not the same. The master of G series made in Japan are real quality control, even down to the controlled environment temperature in the areas where assembly of the watches take place. There is a difference between Japan made and Thailand made.

Looks great but a lot of pointless/useless features. Make one the same spec but slightly smaller and without the triple sensor please 👍🏻

But it's not made in Japan it's made in Thailand, for the price they're asking it should have been made in Japan like the GWG 1000.
What a missed opportunity for Casio to improve on a really great model. The 2000 is way too busy, has too many colors, and the weird carbon fiber case looks terrible. I’d take a 1000 over this. And my GW-9400 Rangeman is still better than either of those two.

This is *exactly* my opinion, too. I got the GWG-1000 (standard version) because it is - compared to other G-Shocks - NOT too busy on the dial.
@@oldguy9051 Nice. I bought a GG-1000-1A3 for the positive display. If the GWG had a + display, I would buy one.
I bought the Rangeman because the fully digital display is a better interface for all the available features. Still the same toughness.
Good video, but that watch is of really low quality. I had to send it back after just 5 days of use due to horribly creaking/squeaking belt/band with every movement of my arm. On top of that the hours hand was not evenly covered with the fluorescent coating indicating low standards of quality control. That tripple sensor is a joke as well. Due to its position it will never show accurate temperature, and the altimeter since it's linked to the atmospheric pressure will give you unreliable results which even for that same location will change withing few hours. If you need to calibrate that every time then what's the point? It's over two weeks since I sent it back and I'm still waiting for any updates. Not something you'd expect from a watch of this price tag (£699), which pretends to be a quality/tough piece. Shame on you.
