Great video guys! I am a friend in spirit! A TV is never too big! Kudos to the two of you. "We didn't smash it." I have a brand new 65" still in the box because one of my helpers grabbed the screen at the top and crushed it. I had to purchase a second new TV because the price of the repair was almost as much as a new TV. Nice TV, enjoy. I hope the automatic vacuum can't hit the screen 🤞
Yeah, Sony (and all other manufacturers) suck for their repair costs, they told me the same thing when ours cracked. You can always list it on gumtree for a couple of hundreds, I had a guy drive up 4 hours to pick up my last broken TV because he needed it for parts.
Here in Florida the going rate is $100 to $120 to install an 86 inch. Although there are a couple guys that try to get more from a customer that doesn’t know the prices
I have a samsung 83" i unboxed and setup by myself. I didnt know the box drops down like that. I laid it down to get it out the box and then install the stand and then pick it up to stand it upright.. i wish i wouldve watched a video like this first
Seemed simple enough. I just installed my tv on a 'industrial' type metal stand. It was not too hard but I did need 2 people. These 50 + inch tvs are not too heavy but so bulky - and cumbersome you really do need 2 people. I also did not see very many instruction on my tv set up.
@@NeptuneNoire this! we just got a house and even a 85" screen would look tiny in our new living room, so not sure if i should even get one or look out for other options
It's wider than my entire apartment My place is 7 feet wide and 7 feet high and 10 feet long. I don't have the ceiling height to remove it from the box and it will have to sit kitty corners across 25% of my apartment. But boy will the cat videos look good on it!

When I was 11, my father bought me a small tv for my bedroom. Being the lazy bastard that I am, I didn’t bother throwing away the oversized box it came in. Luckily, my best friend Christian knew exactly what to do with it: he invented a volleyball-like game in which he and I would both lie on the floor of my room with my bed acting as the net between us. We would proceed to hurl the tv box at each other, trying to injure the other person as much as possible! The one and only rule was that the players had to stay fixed in the same position. Regardless, Christian would frequently cheat by getting up and moving out of the way of my shots! One time he even left the room and it took me an embarrassingly long time to realise!
It's never to big !! I love my 85 !! It's all about how far you seats !!! Very important. Hadther u seat bigger you need. I'm about 16ft away from my TV.
it is horrible that you have to pay extra for installation, in Hong Kong it is free and they send an guy to set it up for free 😅 and it cost less in Hong Kong too
when I was married and my son had just turned two years old that put me at the age of 29, I’m now 62 and the biggest TV you can get back then was a 32 inch and then came the debut of the 36 inch and people lost their minds. That was in 1990. I did have a fold out projection 50 inch TV that we thought was the crème de la crème of televisions and it would never be surpassed. The picture quality back then compared to today was probably a one on one to 10 ratio
I got the 55 inch one of this from Amazon. Looks like the clips at 2:51 are missing from my package. I was planning to move in 1 week. It looks troublesome to pack the tv and move it without any issues without those clips. Do you know if I can get them separately
Perhaps changing the title will attract more viewers from US. There it is called 800H. I just got the exact one as well 👍🏼 glad to see your video. Before my purchase, I couldn’t find any videos in this size. Probably one of very few to showcase VA panel in this model at 85”. You must do a review to of pic quality
@@headsoftech absolutely. And for avg family like ours we love it after upgrading from a model of 2013. It’s the immersion for anyone visiting. And the details and mini theatre. Most people visiting doesn’t like to change movie or channel. Plus their triluminous display shows amazing true to life skin tones. Enjoyed older songs in HD which were upscaled. Love the “Reality Creation” feature. It just doesn’t enhance everything. It enhances or sharpen things as creator would have preferred or closer to original scene. Avengers (both parts) was a treat on Auto settings of Reality creation. It was a huge difference. If you turn it Off and then Auto, clarity is apparent in subtle ways without overwhelming the viewer or taking original hint of softness away from cinema experience. Even it being streamed as 4UHD. The suits and eyes were crystal clear. For normal HD content 70 is pretty good. It’s never overwhelming. Now a days AI enhancers in Nvidia Shield just sharpens everything. Sony has been doing for years since early 2000s. There features are clever and based on data as their r&d on Hollywood. So it’s way superior. Love it. I don’t get into full array, hdmi 2.1 (marketing future proof) etc. This VA panel is good for all 24fps standard to all 60fps (sickening) videos. For this price point, amazing blacks, bright HDR with 4k colors and resolution. It’s so huge that everyone has a great seat and I didn’t had to worry about angles. Don’t mind black bars being a little whatever people nit pick on. Just enjoy the stunning picture out of the box. Custom is the best option. Had Light sensor Auto so I don’t have to fiddle with brightness constantly. Auto Light sensor retains shadow details, no other tv does that well. Love Sony for that. Also, I didn’t found any difference in picture quality between others models showcased in stores like 900h (both have same chipset) besides brightness. I believe stores purposely don’t showcase 85” side by side from 800h vs 900h. It won’t be any noticeable difference. They are always putting 75” ips panel (800h) vs 75” VA panel (900h). This turned out to be hidden gem. And I have spent hours and hours with my homework on offered features. Currently this was the best purchase. I don’t game much, but this still has Game mode enough for casual gaming. I love my movies. 4UHD are a treat. It’s been a joy to bring this to home for family members. Sorry for the long Mini Review. Just have pure love for this purchase and tip on people who might be able to save money with this model.

I just came here to get a sense of scale, and see if I'm being unrealistic in wanting an 85 inch TV for an average size family room.
If it's for the family room, I don't think "too big" exists for a TV. I would want to get it as big as possible so the whole family can enjoy.
