Enjoying the false shuffle tutorials Rick. Thank you. Would you have any idea why on the first riffle shuffle you show, I often have one card on top of the deck which should be on the bottom of the deck? It is usually the only card out of perfect deck sequence. Thanks. Eric

Hey Rich. I’m making loads of progress with your tuition on Cardistry during lockdown in the UK, but just wanted to ask you a quick question. Is it inevitable that a deck of cards will be ruined by doing repetitive Faro Shuffles? I’ve bought a couple of decks of Bicycle cards and don’t want them to end up damaged like another deck I have been practicing with😩 Thanks👍

very nice shuffles although i would do the first one the other way around, so that the diagonal positions of the packets aren’t visible from the front !

I have been looking for some false shuffle demos, and yours are very clear, and not overly complicated. My only problem I have is doing a corner riffle shuffles, I can never get the cards to weave nicely, and my riffle shuffle in the hands with no table is not much either. I do have arthritis in my hands I know bothers me sometimes as well. I f you have any pointers be glad to see a video or two. Nice job on this one....
I dont have arthritis but you could try riffling slowly, only a few cards off each hand at a time until you get more comfortable with the move. Practice the riffle move with both hands until you can do it comfortably to build fluidity or if its really not working for you, just use an overhand or hindu shuffle. Both are easy to fake, Erdnase has a system in his book on overhand stack shuffling like it'll do you well

I love the first one, because it is so much cleaner than the Zarrow.
Its weird though because his Zarrow is super sloppy so i can definitely see why'd you prefer his first one. 52kards has a great zarrow tutorial that looks super clean with tips on masking the front view better. Not sure why this zarrow is done so diagonally.

sth that I can add, if you find it hard to practice these, try to practice them with a smaller portion of the deck and then gradually increase it.
