I would definitely sell it! Nobody is denying the museums the opportunity to study such relics, but if they want to do so, they should pay, just like the rest of the world does. (They make us pay every time we visit a museum, right?! 🤔)

You're wrong about the T-Rex only being found in Montana, S.Dakota and Wyoming. In fact they occasionally turn up in Alberta and recently "Scotty" the largest specimen ever found, was discovered in Saskatchewan.
Imagine finding 3 full sets, perfect quality, mammoth skeletons. Which had a little DNA left, resulting in the possibility of resurrection of the Wooly Mammoth.
They have found a mummified mammoth and was able to retrieve some DNA so I don’t know if it’s DNA holding us back. Or I don’t know what I’m talking about but it’s still fun to talk about.
I think I would be torn in this situation. I agree that fossils like this should belong to every one, but when you're struggling with money, it would be hard not sell it.
And the only reason you would be struggling with money is because of our current capitalist system. Capitalism sucks and is evil! I actually saw and touched the almost complete t-rex skeleton at a dinosaur museum in casper wyoming. The plaque said that it had been domated by some other museum for a limited time on display. Its was really cool.
i believe any moral question about what to do with ancient bones is up to the moral compass of the owner of the property. Legally such bones should NOT be confiscated by the government or any scientific entity.
