      skArpPT ikr?? I’d hand it over to the public paleontologists/museums, but if I couldn’t keep the holotype, I’d at least like a CAST of said fossil, or at least a small PIECE of it, or least give it a name/nickname 🤣

      @WileyCylas 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      However I do think folks who allow scientists &/or amateur fossil hunters to excavate their land or donate their finds do deserve monetary rewards for both their generosity, honesty & just being a Good Samaritan to the scientific community. Perhaps this will prompt more people to stray AWAY from the fossil market

      Gold is different than say prehistoric bones. Bad comparison.

  • @racesmith3075

    Wait, the t rex, the farmer agreed to %10 of whatever the scientists earned from anything he and his team finds, doesn't that automatically assume the bones would be sold? Otherwise what was the %10 supposed to come from? Regardless if it's regular payments of a portion of the ticket sales from exhibitions or a full on sale of the bones or even nothing if the bones were donated.
    The farmer should have stuck to the agreement!
