Excellent Job Todd on explaining how to work around physical limitations when golfing. I use to play with a golfer who developed Parkinson's and who at one time was a scratch golfer. This illness did not take away his competitive nature. This affliction was put out of his mind when he addressed the ball. He still hit the ball hard and long. His limitations came on the short delicate shots. Thanks Todd for addressing this issue. My friend is gone now, but I will always remember his competitiveness.
Thank you so much Todd, I started the game last year at 61! I really enjoy playing and truly enjoy your lessons more than anyone I’ve seen so far…keep up the great work you do, I really appreciate it! Carlos
Thanks for the tips. I am a golf professional and I have Parkinson's. Through trial and error, I've figured out how to keep playing, and now I'm attracting students with Parkinson's who want to improve their game. I'm looking for more tips like these.
Great info I not only have Parkinson’s but have an elbow on my right arm that was broken when I was a lot younger. I can’t straighten it out all the way. I wish you were in Alabama I play the best I can and have taken some lessons but can’t get anybody to help me compensate for my handicap.
Golf is sorely lagging behind just about every other sport I can think of in terms of access by disabled people. I happen to be considered disabled because of a serious leg injury but I do so love golf. I wish there were leagues for people with disabilities or illnesses, I would join immediately! It's nice to hear some mention of it here! Nice job!
As a paraplegic with minimal leg strength I play from a seated position using a SoloRider golf cart. Accordingly, much of my swing comes from the arms with a shoulder turn but very little hip turn. Although golf is done for me here in Maine until the spring, I am constantly reviewing how I might be able to squeeze out a few more yards with my swing. I find that your instructions are very useful but I have to parse out those elements that I can employ. Thanks, glen
Thank you for this video. I too suffer from Parkinson’s and my game over the past two years has declined significantly. Main reasons are balance and tremor.
Enjoyed your demonstration on swing the golf club with illness like Parkinson’s disease to get more distance. Can you provide some tips on turning using your hip with the knee bend, thanks. New golfer
How can thanks for posting. You bet! Are you a subscriber? We have a ton of great content on our Vertical Line Swing on our channel. You should also join our email list at USGolfTV.com
Excellent as always Todd! Re the hip turn, would you advocate pre setting slightly closed hips at address for iron and driver as a way of getting feeling? I know club will still go back along target line vls staying square, but the hips are already turned in?
Wayne N Acworth Ga Love your videos! I’m 69 and just got your Vertical Line board and The bad lie! I have a 12° driver and wondering if you could do a video on it. If I should have it further back in my stance and tee it lower. I also use the alignment strip on my golf ball when teeing off to set up my alignment! Thanks a lot!
Wayne, thank you for the kind words and supporting our company. We are here for our fellow golfers and those who love this great game. Will add it to the content list.
Thanks Coach and thanks for helpful someone who needs it more than a person of good health. Health is a gift and we should take care of it. I use to have a special needs son and my goodness I truly know how important good health is. Over the 17 years of taking care of Alfonso I damaged my lower back, I don't regret it for 1 second but would say to USDTV family take care of yourself 1st.
Hey Todd this is Rick from Athens Ga. I’m 60 years young, I’ve been at the game for about 35 years I hit my irons somewhat pure but my fairway woods I keep in the bag I either hit to much ground behind or top the ball. Any suggestions thanks.
I have weak needs and weak upper leg muscles which restricts my turn. i hit my drive about 170 yds Q. What’s should I concentrate on without feeling pain when turning
As an experienced golfer 75 I struggle with over swinging and losing balance , now as an avid follower of your videos and instructions I already knew about widening the stance and flaring out the toes , my problem after making several in balance practice swings , I muscle up and attack the ball looking for the 500 yard drive any idea how I can overcome my baseball mentality
Initial move of the lead arm is more straight back and up while turning the hips and shoulders which take it around. You may want to take a look a my book, The Bad Lie which covers the entire program. Here is the Amazon link th-cam.com/video/0ZCxYE8ksl0/w-d-xo.html

Hello from Venice, FL. I often take my eye off the ball during my tee shots. Need some help focusing on the ball during the swing.

Sorry to hear of your challenges. Suggest using a swing with more arms and less rotation, a wider stance with the toes flared out. Hope that helps.
I'm in my late 60's and have trouble as the golf round continues my hips start getting tight, especially around the 12th hole. Suggestions?
Flare the toes and more hip turn...
Robert, appreciate you and your support for our channel and what we are trying to provide to the golf industry....more to come!

Get confused regarding direction of the vertical line. Is it straight back and up or straight back , inside and up to match the turn of the body

I am Gurpinder Singh from India. I am 62 years old. My distance with the irons has reduced. What specific drill I need
