Freaking loved that you actually spoke about pricing at the end for a few mins 🥃 most people gloss over the reality of buying bourbon and love to hear thoughts on max secondary etc. I need to know if it's one or two kidneys I'll be selling off here before allocation season fits up lol 😂
Haven’t seen any of the Michter’s limited bottles at MSRP. If I saw any of them I’d get it. Haven’t heard a Michter’s review that made me feel like secondary pricing is worth it. My go to Double Oak is Sagamore, dark, rich, and balanced. Thanks Jason.
I just purchased 2 bottles of the Toasted Barrel Rye at 2nd market retail in Washington DC yesterday and it was the 2020 and the 2023 release at $200.00 each. It was worth it to me, but I am also a very big fan of Michter's Barrel Strength Rye. The toasted barrel rye is amazing.
Great way of summing it up, Jason. Completely agree with you on this one. Btw, I couldn’t help but to notice that 2024 Càirdeas in the back. Idk if you’ve cracked into yet, but man….it’s very good!
Would love for a video of you explaining the differences between double oaked bourbons and toasted bourbons. I’ve tried looking it up and depending on where you read it, sometimes they mean different things?
A while ago you did a video on double oaked bourbons and you rated the Starlight double oaked very well. On your recommendation I picked up a bottle of a Binny''s store pick (Chicago) and loved it. I see that Starlight has a limited edition toasted bourbon. Have you tried it? I would love to see a review.
I am not a fan of double oaked! I just taste old cheap popsicle stick! I love michters products though so i want to try this and the rye though! I am going to have to go to the michters bar and try these! I doibt i will like it though
Can you clarify if MSRP is really at $199.99? Some say $109.99. Also, why $225? Seems very specific. Maybe you would pay $25 more from MSRP (assuming $199.99 is correct)? p.s. $199.99 for this bottle seems very steep... given that M10B or M10R is close to that number.
Did you watch the video or go straight to the final breakdown? He does say repeatedly its $109 so the graphic looks to be a typo. And he explains exactly why he would go with $225 as his ceiling.
I will not pay more than $75 for a bottle of whiskey. I guess I will not be looking for this. Buzzard's Roost has some of the best toasted bourbons and ryes you can buy.
@@mikeg4960id argue that the best whiskeys worth buying are $40-$80 and have been for over 6 yrs. Some of the brands have just changed. Rare breed, jack barrel proof rye or bourbon, ecbp, just about anything made by still austin, four roses single barrel, smokewagon, sagamore, the list keeps going.
How would you know? If a $70 woodford double oaked is at the top of your self imposed toasted price range then I doubt you’ve tried enough to say you know what are the “best things money can buy”
I still love the Woodford Reserve Double Oaked. And for the price, it is great!
Pretty much on every stores shelf. It’s too good
Always one of my favorites
Somehow found this at msrp, can’t wait to crack it!

Thanks Jason! I just found one today for $109 😁

Would love to see a Quadruple Bass with this, OF 1910, WR DO and EC Toasted Barrel. To see how it stacks up again bottles that are half the price.
I'm really excited for this. I thought the 21' was not great. Nice review.
The toasted rye was good, better than the 21 bourbon for sure.
Scored a bottle at my local whiskey shop for $130, I love it
I have a bottle of the Toasted JD special release from 2018 bunkered.
I love Michter’s! And they truly do toasted better than the rest
I love Michter’s and I love toasted bourbons. I want a bottle of this so bad, but I know I’m not going to be able to get one 😔
Penelope made a toasted barrel strength rye and it was amazing! Last year I believe...
I have a 2021 with a few pours left. Guess I’ll try to score one of these so I can give the 2021 a send off

@@RVWhiskey that review is coming this week
@RVWhiskey damn good eye!
Got two at the KBF.. phenomenal
I just found this for $37.50 at the NEX Bremerton. Going back to pick the last 3 bottles.
Would love for a video of you explaining the differences between double oaked bourbons and toasted bourbons. I’ve tried looking it up and depending on where you read it, sometimes they mean different things?
Your final breakdown says price is $199.99 not $109.99
Nice review, if I come across one I’ll get one, but I’m not on the hunt for one. Michter’s is one of my favorite distilleries.
Michters toasted rye is definitely my favorite, but K Luke toasted was damn good. I didn’t get a chance to try them head to head though
This will definitely be on my radar. I loved the 2021 I got to try. Hopefully I’ll get lucky and find one but I won’t overpay. Cheers
GA Fiddler Toasted Rye is my favorite
Jason, haven't had that TB bourbon, their TB BS Rye is amazing stuff.
I'll stick with EC toasted at $49 at Costco, but I would like to try this
That price is a bit steep. I hope whiskey prices go down over time as some of the boom times slow down. Great analysis and review, JC!
I feel like this would be a cool allocated bottle to get for my wife. She likes bourbon on occasion not regularly. My low proof options are lackluster

Another great video 👍
Penelope Marshmallow Toast

Just picked up this bottle for $99 plus tax in California. Got lucky
Just picked it up for 120.
At $110 retail I think I will pass with such a low proof. Always enjoy your videos!
Have yet to try a toasted bourbon or ryes. :(
Please review that Murray Hill Club Special Release B4 👀
he tried it on stream a week or 2 ago
Old forester 1910 needs a mention . The best in my opinion
If you are not a fan of the regular US1 would still be a buy?
This is a pass for me at $110. EC Toasted is less than half the cost and a little higher proof even. It’s also more readily available as of recent.
"Undercut the liquor stores" lol.

@@TheMashandDrum Gotcha
Sounds tasty, but MSRP is ridiculous. Pass.
in your final breakdown....you listed retail price at$200
@@robertbass151 I know but was a typo
100 dollars plus for 91.4 proof, gonna be a no for me dawg.
I see in the next two years a lot of bourbon companies going out of business when you’re charging this kind of money insane
EC Toasted Barrel is $50 and available in PA. Too many options with lower prices. Cheers
Like and comment! Lets get you to 100K.
SRP is not a value price for me.
no way in hell would I even pay retail. Max I'm going is $80. Plenty of great options in the toasted world
Live in the now!! 😂
Michters are, to me, an overpriced luxury brand. Just grab a EC toasted, Penelope toasted or Short Barrel Toasted.
I find Elijah Craig toasted for under 60 bucks in my area all the time. Triple digits for under 100 proof toasted? Nah.
I think all their stuff is overpriced, good but too much money for me anyway 😉 Cheers 🥃

You’re about to be priced out and drinking only bottom shelf bourbon soon. Lol. Prices are increasing exponentially
Agree re: Buzzard’s Roost toasted rye. Incredible - though they’re right at the top end of your bottle budget too. Hope they don’t climb higher.

$110 is a pass for me, overpriced.
Msrp is $199?!?!
@@mikeg4960 no it's 110. Typo
Funny seeing all the cheap people complaining because he said it was 200 bucks on accident lol
