    I have been using the ordinary Matrixyl serum very consistently for 6 months and the difference it has made to my eye area in particular my upper eyelid is incredible. No weird texture and greatly reduced hooded eyelids. It genuinely has helped big time.

      As a Licensed Esthetician (Ret) I’m so happy you found success in this wonderful affordable product 😊 Over & Over I tell people it’s about ingredients not price! (Tho be very very cautious about Dollar Tree skincare. Their formulations have little to no active ingredients). The Ordinary is a very reliable & reputable company! 👍🏻
      If you ever need a Vit C serum, may I highly suggest Vanicream’s Vit C serum! The best on the market imo!
      Keep up the great stuff! I bet your skin looks Gorgeous! 😊

      I’m no doctor but I have the Ziip and the Omnilux red light therapy mask. The Ziip is good but found it’s too much work and I stopped using it. But the Omnilux…..GET IT GET IT GET IT…..it has done wonders for my skin, I use it almost every night. I’m saying omnilux bc that’s the brand I use, other brands may be just as great, but red light therapy has helped eliminate my hyperpigmentation, even out my skin tone, gives the glow from with in. It is the one product that I can say if the day ever came that it broke, I’d reorder IMMEDIATELY.

    Is there any information about how to delay the bucal fat loss?

    • @ssmith8758
      @ssmith8758 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

      In my experience it’s about keeping some fat on your body as you age. We do want to be lean but you have to figure out what the sweet spot weight is for you. I see a lot of older women post menopause who are “skinny” but look skeletal. A certain amount of fat equals youthfulness. It’s really about weight training, eating enough protein and maintaining a healthy body weight. In addition, micro needling from what I’ve been hearing is the gold standard on collagen building in the face. I’m currently doing research on this now.

      Teeny tiny amount & pat, don’t rub. Use your ring finger, less pressure when patting. Hope that helps.

    Retinol is totally a damaging substance for the skin- it takes forever to give you results ( depending if it ll suit u or not at the end ) plus the pain and embarrassment of breaking up the skin is something you ll go through like forever , making your skin super duper dry - no make up, no cream or moisturizer will help in that and the fact that the skin underneath the eyes is so thin and sensitive- totally not worth the effort!!!

      Gosh I personally would stop using it if I had that reaction. Our eyesight is too precious to risk it. Again, I’m no expert that’s just my thoughts.

    I've read that retinol and similar compounds are toxic to the meibomian glands of the eyelids, which lubricate the eyes, meaning applying retinoids on the eyelids can cause dry eyes. Is this a concern?

    • @forben3523

      It's definitely true. My right eye turns very dry and red up to 7 days after I applied retinol for long enough. I have to wash it off after 2 hours. Just try it and if you notice a change in your eyes, quit immediately.

    It doesn't look like Peter Thomas Roth makes the matrixyl 3000 anymore. That container appears to be his current 21 peptide serum. Is that as good? Or should I be looking out for something else?

    • @veronicaspencelocke2003
      @veronicaspencelocke2003 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Some people do, but if you're not using a specific 'eye cream with retinol', the retinol can be very irritating to the thin sensitive skin around the eye and/or it may slide around and get in the eye itself.
