Another enjoyable and relaxing video, and a really helpful comparison of the various models. Many thanks.

I always enjoy your videos. Refreshing to see those made with more than a grammar school vocabulary. Thank you for the Sailor comparisons. I was initially disappointed with my KOP Ebonite especially at the price, but after moving down the Sailor line to the Pro Gear and 1911L it has become one of my favorite brands.

Thanks, Glen. One of my favourite brands and (usually) very reasonably priced, given the quality of their nibs. The KoP is certainly one of my favourites - a classic example of less being more.

This video resolved most of my questions on sizes of the pens. I own 5 pens including 3 Pro gear slim and 2 St. profit. I am planning to add one more Large next. They are great pens. Thanks for the video.

thanks a lot, My Sailor 1911 14kt is 13,4 cm long with cap closed.
Is it a 1911 Mid Size or large or standard?

I have a Sailor Pro Gear and while I would agree it is a bit smaller I do not post my pens and it fits perfectly.
If you watch reviewers use it unposted it’s rare, ok I’ve never seen it, where the pen falls below their hand or into the space between the thumb and forefinger.
My guess is it’s more of a psychological thing. They are used to a pen extending above their hand.

Very useful video! However I cannot find the second one on your website! The standard 1911 in black and crrome trims (not gold). How do i find this one? Would like to purchase it. Please let me know! Thankyou!

I'm afraid that Sailor no longer do a rhodium trim on the 1911.

Unfortunately I have to agree with you. I had an extremely difficult time hearing him because he is a soft spoken man to begin with. He starts his sentences of in a volume that I could hear if I really tried and as his sentences went on each of them became a soft muddling that almost sounded like he is about to doze off. I'm sure that he is a very nice fellow and. I'm not attempting to be disrespectful or hurt his feelings. It's easy to see that he enjoys fountain pens, as we do, and he is gracious to even make videos such as this. I wish that he would either practice clearly projecting his voice and/or switch where he puts his microphone. We would appreciate it and enjoy his videos even more.
