  • Today I'm analyzing the sheet music of one of the most widely sung mezzo / soprano / belter songs in musical theatre history: "Pulled" from the Addams Family! Sung in the Original Broadway Cast by Krysta Rodriguez ( a cast which also included Nathan Lane ) with Music & Lyrics by composer Andrew Lippa.

Mateo, could you please analyze Bad Idea from Waitress? I think there's some cool stuff here, some of it not easily noticeable (e.g. Jenna saying "I know what's right for me, it's the only thing I've never done" while Pomatter says "ever done"). I'm sure you'd find stuff to blow my mind off again with that one (like you do with each of these)!

This is really interesting! My daughter is Wednesday for our HS musical, and I never realized until now how understanding the chords and rhythms can tell a story.
