Lawn mowing 101 with my brother-in-law, these videos are strangely fascinating to watch! He does good videos and is a good narrator with great information!
The Kubota B2650 uses a "ground engaged mower deck", cutting height is controlled solely by the gauge wheels. The position control should be down and not used to control deck height when mowing. The position control stop should be set to where the rear 3-point lift arms are low to the ground but high enough to be out of harms way, this will allow the deck to "float" across any high or low areas. The B2601 uses a completely different system and the deck is suspended from the tractor when mowing, the deck height is controlled by the lifting mechanism.
When mowing trimming around trees always use the left side of ur mowers deck as sitting in ur set left an right.Never use the right side if u do ur pushing grass on ur trees. There is a such called a clean mowing watch where u push the grass too.Remember its not how fast u cut its how well u cut. Make it look nice. I hope this will help u!
So you don't just lower deck all the way and let it ride on wheels? I remember there are pros and cons for each way. Do you remember? 6 is barely lowered on my rear attachments. Will it mow much higher?
Hi, would you mind taking some footage or photos of how it is connected to the lift arms, I got a used deck and I gotta figure out how to fabricate something to install it on my b series. Thank you.
how does the 2650 handle the 72" deck? Was thinking of buying one of these but not sure if I should get a 3350 for more HP. My old JD 855 doesn't like the 72" deck in heavy grass. but it is old.
it works great on the 2650 and its warrantied for 6 years. i heard several negative things about the 3350 engine not being as reliable.(not from personal experience)
Probably already bought whatever you were after but the 3350 should not be purchased. Most dealers will not even sell them. Complete junk and they have not solved the regeneration issues.
The mower deck connects to link arms that come down to the back of the deck and a linkage for the front. Its almost the same as the smaller tractors or even a normal garden tractor or riding mower. Only real difference is those are suspended from the tractor holding the deck up in the air above the grass as you cut it. Where this deck gets lowered to the ground and the wheels ride on the ground cutting the grass to whatever height the wheels are set to, essentially dragging the deck or rolling it across the yard giving you a cut thats contoured to the yard.
Should never jam the PTO lever forward like that! Move it slowly forward to engage. I know. I have a b2650. No different than the older farm tractors. My 60 inch deck on mine does not and will not scalp my yard so I'm surprised yours does.
Thanks for the tips. I am still learning how to use the machine. I now know how not to scalp. All good. check out my most recent video on how i install that 72inch deck.

thanks a ton for all that helpful information. I knew about front loader boom float but I had no idea that deck float function existed.

If you mow at 3” your grass will be about 3 shades greener than your neighbors.

What kind of soil do you have? Also do you see tire marks all over your grass?
Top soil on sand and no these tires do not leave marks
You should tie up or remove that safety chute it spreads the grass out nice and evenly doesn't pile it up at the end of the chute.. Just try it.
Thanks for the great tip.
I miss cutting grass with a Tractor. Its relaxing...I should come do it for you one day man! LOL

Do you mow with the tractor on your septic field?
Yes. Tractor with mowing deck only weighs about 2200 pounds.
how and where do you attach the parts that hold mower to the tractor?

So about how fast was the mowing speed and what range H-M-L? looked like at least 5-6 mph.
I used H and rpm was 2000.
Manual says to mow in medium @ 2500 rpm which probably is a ground speed of 6-8 mph.

RPM's too low to get a good cut.
Yes in the video rpm was low. I've now since then been cutting grass with the tractor at 2250rpm.
@@AcetuningTVPerformance actually it should be about 2800.
The tractors rpm limiter is set to 2650 max.
Full throttle when mowing. Flat out.
GP outdoors intro?
Similar yes. GP outdoors makes great videos. He helped me in making my decision to buy a
Kubota.
My thought exactly....GP knock off. Just be yourself, the tractor will do the talking 😜😝😎
Comment 30!
