Seeing the coach station brought back memories of wild day trips to blackpool in the nineties. Going to the bier keller and the jaggy thistle and getting back on the coach hammered.
Great days.
Someone wants to turn part of the old cinema into self-storage units. Like the town needs more of them!
Hi stephen great bike around, the football ground looks well good. Thanks take care 😊
Used to come down to Blackpool, “Brunswick Club” in the 70s….Johnny Meadows…..what a Singer…..Happy Days 👏🏼
Many thanks for showing this video.
Thanks Stephen. 😊
Thanks for the great video
Great video as usual Stephen. I've driven many a coach from Doncaster to Blackpool before I retired.😀👍👍
Thanks Stephen for another interesting vid. My wife and I use to walk around that area and the shops towards the promenade. Sad that the shops have deteriorated and look neglected.
Great video Stephen they do more spend more money area they areas need more to help them out more I can't wait for next video I hope you and your family and friends are well and safe
Hi Stephen thank you for another great video as always they need to sort out the buildings that are worse for wear yes the new development will probably look nice but other things need dealing with too the football stadium looks a really nice building love the trees have a great evening xx
hi Stephen thanks for another great video 😊
Thanks for the great video stephen
Glad you enjoyed it Julie.
As a Hibs fan I really enjoyed this city tour. It was a good day out in sunny Blackpool for my brother and his branch bus. I hope that you didn't feel disrespected that we sent a youth/reserve team down and our European squad were all rested for the midweek game next week.
No probs pal. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Another awesome video
You videos are brilliant
Building a complex at the end of Central Drive will do absolutely nothing for the fortunes of that street. Bpl Council is all for Tourists, not Residents, while they maintain the identity of the Town as a tourist destination and not much else.
Great video
Just watched you and the McMaster video awesome
I done all the roller shutters many many years ago in Easter Road, from memory 94 / 95
Very interesting. Nice to see the fans behaving themselves as well. Cant believe those parking charges though.
Was there today Blackpool front was hammered
It’s like that we’re I live some guy threw is food into my garden so I went out and threw back over and it landed on him 😂
Love your honesty Stephen, (The nuclear bomb proof plant pots with the exotic dandelions)😂. Blackpool is a great town that could easily rival others and has a lot of potential if only those responsible would pull their fingers out.
Top video Steve 👌 your a grafter 💪
Hi stephen, Last time I saw Bloomfield Rd, George Farm was our goalie, he also played for Scotland.
Wowsers, that's going back a bit Judy.
Ahh I wondered what happened to the old coach park 🚎
The gasometer you were talking about,I've got two,(closed now) that I can see from my window but they are apparently being demolished to rebuild the new Barlinnie prison, but we'll see
They should re-instate the railway as it formed a loop from Blackpool South to Blackpool North via Blackpool Central and use the new build as a station, it will overtake Waterloo (London) and Clapham Junction as the UKs busiest train station. It is because of a geezer named Beeching that the loop was cut!
Love these videos have you done one of Stanley Park?
Hi, yeah Stephen has filmed quite a lot in Stanley Park, there's some fantastic videos if you would like to check them out 😊
Perhaps a vlog from Blackpool FC's hotel? Led to believe it's rather more expensive than the majority of hotels in the town.
A video from the legendary Castle pub would make fascinating viewing. All human life is there and the DJ does not take any prisoners. Rough around the edges but had many happy times there.
Good old Joe the DJ. I'm his 'gym partner'
@@neilcunningham3280 It's a miracle he's never been chinned!!
@@jasongray4517 He's a sound fella when you get to know him
joey blower at the merry england used to be a good laugh
hi Stephen any chance you can get a couple of pics of the waterloo bowling green again, just for memories sake
I was in the taco bell, gutted I missed bumping into you on my weekend break Stephen.
I haven't been in there yet.
What the? You wouldn't see a car park let you park for that many hours here in Australia, unless it's long-term airport parking.
DK you have any pics of the Central station Stephen?
Hope you cover home games this upcoming season stephen 🙏
Wow there is some Hibs fans there!! It doesn’t surprise me though, Hibernian coming to England for a match doesn’t happen often especially to Blackpool. The same happened last season to didn’t it, was it Celtic? Top video Sir, when is the old Police Station being demolished? …..Smithy
It'll be years before the old station comes down.
It was Rangers last year , and a couple of years before that there was 5000 Gers fans at Fleetwood for the Ricksen tribute match
That's the most depressing thing about seaside towns, when you went there as a child, all shops were open, cafes, gift shops, joke shops, fancy dress shops............ Fast forward to today and for sale signs, boarded up doors, shutters down. Blackpool and Rhyl have changed monumentally in 30 years?
Now they have fallen in to a state of disrepair and the council rather spend money on other pointless things? Rhyl has had a go ahead for a new pathway to be built on the prom near the sea life center when the coastal defence has been completed???? Spending money for a new pathway when they already have one????
Money could be used else where 😕😕😕😕
Flog the old coach station to one of the coffee chains for all the cardrivers gasping for a cuppa.
Where do the coaches (National Express ones, not private hire chartered ones) pick up and drop off passengers in Blackpool nowadays? iirc it used to be the car park next to Coral Island, but does that still exist with all the work going on nowadays?
Same place.
@@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool Thank you.
Hi Stephen me and my wife thinking of coming up for the lights in September can you recommend a hotel that's not shabby we're coming fro. London been Blackpool before a few years ago many thanks
Blackpool FC Hotel.
Mon the Hi Bees.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
What you've told us Is very important Stephen. The road along past the football ground took us right to Coral Island and next to the Bonnie St market. But that now is impossible then? So we need to turn off say at Bloomfield Rd or near Waterloo Rd and make our way into town from there then? Am I correct?
Yes, turn off at Bloomfield Road.
Hibs is my team pretty rubbish for the last few years as used to go every Saturday is that the new stadium remember going to the old Blackpool stadium
would of been big disorder at this game 15/20 year back😅
Hi Stephen
Love the new intro, it's proper edgy!!! ... But please nobody eat those berries, they are way too close the main roads and city centre, they will NOT be good for you.
Closing Blackpool Central was a stupid thing to do. Tory corruption and greed brought about the Beeching axe to Blackpool Central instead of Blackpool North, which was the original recommendation by Doctor Beeching
Did Blackpool win or lose?
Spending all that money for the new development is not helping local people to have decent housing. Yeah, it will hopefully look good, and it will create some jobs, but overall yet again the holidaymakers wants are being put before the needs of the people of Blackpool. Great ride around Stephen, I hope your backside isn't hurting today, it's a while since you've been on a bike 😉 xx
Thanks Moonage xx
Hi moonage have you got WhatsApp
What ever happens to the tangerine club
They built that whacking big Travelodge on it.
Ohhh who won no party just a friendly lol
Something needs to be done with Lytham road, talk about grim.
My mum used to live down Lonsdale Road as a very small child in the 1930's. She said the area was lovely then. There was even a dairy just opposite Lonsdale on Lytham Road
It looks post apocalyptic these days.
@@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool And it smelled really bad yesterday afternoon like sewage 🤢
The little village you showed looked okay.
IThe UK is becoming car centric like the US. All the multi story car parks. Why not invest in better public transport?
As far as that image of the redevelopment. Yes it will improve the area but it won't improve the lives of the average punter. It will be all high priced flats and parking lots.
REgarding the car parks, they need to have a ticketing system so the car park knows when its full.
Hopefully, Blackpool keeps some of it's heritage. It would be a shame if they knock most of it down.
Thanks for your input.
Blackpool vs Hibernian
They putting in a building to house the electric buses for 2024 or 2025 we see
Well, if things worsen with Russia we'll have some decent plant pots still standing 😂.
Hi Stephen
