    I was set free when I read the book especially took a weekend by myself to go through the Boundaties WebKit. . I saw so much in my life with selfish people even my extremely verbally, emotionally abusive ex-husband, who I still suffer emotional issues. The whole time I was raised in church and told that you should not get a divorce,that if I only believed and had enough faith, God would answer all my prayers. Whatever you ask, I will do. After I was such a mess, and my children. I faced my disappointment in the church, why God would allow this. I had tried to love this person all this time, prayed for, fasted for. That’s what I was taught raised in church that if you just love enough this was the 70s 80s 90s. It took me a long time to realize that he chose his behavior, had no intention of changing, and that no matter how much faith I had. It wasn’t going to change some who doesn’t want to change. I was never taught that.

    You can not ever know how much what Dr. Cloud said about the child brain hit me!!! Although I wasn't physically abused as a child, my mother had mental/emotional issues that, in effect, worked in the same way that Joyce's experience worked in her life. It is no wonder I feel the deepest closeness to Joyce Meyer, even though I have never met her. She has made a PROFOUND impact on my life. Thank you, Joyce! Thank you Dr. Cloud!

    Joyce Meyer is so funny at times 😅.i Watched a lot of the videos on the island of Aruba years ago in the morning early before i went to work and her Withnessing and Trying to show us Jesus His Way Trough the Word with backing up with Scripture were helpfull ,she was funny than in her comments and is still .The Joy of the Lord is my Strength There is a time to laugh and a time to cry and a time to Heal to and i pray that for everybody to Heal ,the whole world ,i pray it also for those who have falsely accused me ,some people do and say hurtfull things because they are hurt all they need to do is open their hearts for the Love of God and Jesus and The Holy Spirit the Comforter .💪🖐️♥️🙏📖

I've been journaling about setting boundaries in my life because I've let people do things in my life, too afraid to say something (my fault) but today I came across this video, and now I'm ordering the book. but you gave the answers I've been looking for. I love what Dr. Cloud said about binding on earth and binding in heaven. I connect that to what was said earlier about the fear of saying no to people - fear of how they’ll respond, which is ultimately fear of what they think. When we put God first and are true to our hearts we will be the part of the body we were created to be and have healthier relationships. The enemy is keeping us stuck by needing others to agree.

My son is the same way if he calls me and I don’t answer he might wait and call me again and if I don’t, he’s wanting to know what’s going on and he’ll come over if he needs to to make sure I am OK he’s very overprotective with me and I am very grateful and thank God that I have him for my son, not all parents have that in their children and I know you know that I just wanted to throw that out. ❤

    Love you Joyce. Love his book boundaries. It really helped me a lot. And ALL OF JOYCES BOOKS HELPED ME I LOVED LOVE REVALUTION. LOVED BATTLEFEILD OF THE MIND. JUST BOUGHT LOVING PEOPLE WHO ARE HARD TO TO LOVE. My mom is very hard to love. She hurtful and mean with her words and very jelouse and critical of me. And just says the meanest things about me to other people. Please pray for me I go to a wonderful plugged in church. 3 OAKS IN GALLITEN TENN. I loove. It. I've been with the same pastor for years. I love him and his wife very mutch. I'm going to start going wensday night as well I've invited people to go my friend has gone with me several xs. Please pray for her she is a baby Christian. She makes excuses about everything. I told her that what will YOU SAY TO THE LORD when you go to heaven and he says WHT didn't you read my word ??? She just dosent really care about it so I'll just keep on praying for. Her and ask others to go. Too I love taking people to church. I've had to confront people in a Christian way. I've had to set boundaries with my first friend J. AND. I have had to tell her look I don't mind giving you a ride to say the store. But not 12 other places. We've had to discuss the wear and tear on my car. And GAS. if she wants a ride. She has to put gas in my car and she does but I've had to learn BOUNDRIES WITH MY MOTHER. TOO EVEN THOUGH SHE GETS VERY ANGRY AT MY TACTICKS I have to say if you speak to me this way then. I can't be around you for awile until you can respect me. I help my daughter take care of her she is elderly and has a heart condition. As well. So my daughter has a place and she lives they're. My daughter is wonderful. And we get along very well but it always gives me bad anxiety around my mom beacause she abused me mentally and verbally and physically as a child I forgave her so reading these wonderful books. Have all helped me. Tremendously THANK YOU JOYCE AND DR CLOUD. 😊❤ LOVE FROM TENNESSE MOST OF ALL. GOD AND JESUS HELPED ME THE MOST. I GAVE MY HEART TO HIM WHEN I WAS 8 YEARS OLD. I LOVE THE LORD AND JESUS. I PRAY ALL THE TIME STUDY THE BIBLE AND. MY DEVOTINALS. I LOVE TO STUDY AND LEARN ABOUT GOD AND JESUS. ITS WONDERFUL. GOD BLESS YOU ALL BE SAFE LOVE YOURESELF. LOVE YOU JOYCE. HUGE FAN HAVE WATCHED YOU FOR. YEARS. LEARNED SO MUTCH. FROM YOU AND YOU HAVE HELPED ME SOO MUTCH. GOD BLESS YOU YOURE FAMILY.

    I have found that there are some people who will not accept and respect boundries being set for them - no matter how carefully you word it. I was told I’m selfish, I only care about what I can get for me, I’m a control freak. This is from a sibling so I don’t want to cut ties but I have to say it has been very challanging to deal with. They have a what’s yours should be mine mentality, your home, your things, your money - everything. I am so tired of feeling guilty for having whatever I have - which is nothing fancy. I’m understanding why my husband just wanted to keep everybody out. I don’t want to do that but it might be easier and more peaceful if I did.

    • @singerjo5791
      @singerjo5791 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I had to cut ties with my sister a couple of years ago. I was tired of decades of strife. I was her emotional release valve. My family couldn’t understand why I wouldn’t talk to her. We live hundreds of miles apart. I could not be around her or talk to her because I required peace in my life. After 15 months of no communication she came to a family dinner at my house and did not try to cause strife. I had to commit to and work hard to establish that boundary. I still cannot be around her for long periods of time. I just walk away rather than engage in volatile topics. The rest of my family has come to realize that my motive was self preservation. You can do it and your peace will be enhanced.

    Thank you for your content! I get a lot out of what you preach. I do feel it necessary to point this out… I would be a little more careful when it comes to joking around about drug addiction/substance abuse… I realize that it’s probably not how you intend to come across, but people who are actually on drugs or alcohol, might take it really hard depending on their state of mind. It might be funny to joke about one of your friends being on heroin and having an intervention… just don’t forget that for way too many people that’s real life, sadly.
    Just throwing this out there to give you a different perspective! Have a wonderful day! 🤍

    But with Dr. Cloud's reasoning about setting boundaries with an addict, for example in choosing not to be around them until they get help, what if your addict family member keeps using, choosing not to get help, this means you never see them again?! Because of your boundry of choosing to not be around them? What if its yr parent or child? So 5, 10, 20 yrs will pass with no contact with them because “you are choosing not to be around them“ comments appreciated. This seems very UN Christian to me.
