During my addiction I would run out of pills/opiates, basically I took my 1 months script in less than 2 weeks. I would get so very sick from detoxing and often beg God for death. It seemed like I suffered through this over and over for thousands of years but really it was 10 years. When I first got sober I then understood that God let me go through that detoxing to the point I wanted to die so when I did get sober I WOULD NEVER TAKE ANOTHER OPIATE AGAIN! I've been sober for 3 years 7 months, thank you sweet Jesus, You knew what I needed.
I went to see Joyce 5 maybe 6 years ago.. I can tell you right now that seeing her in-person then, doesn't do half as much for as listening to her now. Although I lived what I thought was a Christian life, my mindset wasn't Prepared for the wisdom Jesus give this lady. I can truly say Jesus has done a work on me. Joyce has helped me have peace in my storm (right now I am getting hit with all kinds of things) but I refuse to let Satan make me think Jesus isn't with me. Joyce is a woman of GOD she is helping me heal and she doesn't even know it. I don't know where my head would be without her guidance. Thank You Lord for using this woman not just for me but all the others as well.

I like that Joyce said our goal should be to please God everyday. I think some of us need to be reminded that pleasing God isn't unattainable. When you have a close relationship with Him you begin to see that He is pleased with that alone and if you happen to make a mistake, He doesn't become displeased, He simply corrects those He loves.

People have to realize the FULL benefits of saying NO to eatting second helpings of food. Saying NO to snacks and NO to eating between meals creates a life better than you've imagined in the past. All of this gets easier with time. The benefits of only eating 2 SMALL meals a day creates an ability to enjoy life more fully. Saying YES to an athletically abundant life is incredibly wonderful. -- I wish my parents or anyone would have taught me this about eating.. Bit better than never. When face with eating more... I remind myself what I ACTUALLY WANT more... I want better health MORE... And I get my better health.
I am so enjoying this and learning a lot from these wonderful ladies. So many things happening in my life at the moment and I thank God for his peace all through it. God is faithful.

The benefits of saying YES to yourself and saying NO to destructive habits .. It would be nice to see covered more completely on this channel. Saying YES to thinking happy thoughts. Saying YES to healthy eating.. Saying YES to better healthy lifestyle habits... Yes to yourself... means saying NO to people who don't understand what you're needing right now. When people offer you junk food or second helpings ..they mean well... However we have to say NO to THEM and say YES to ourselves.. Because we're worth it. Say yes to a healthier slimmer athletic body mind and spirit. - Just say yes.
To want to be love shows me that my heart is after God's own heart and when I am angry and impatient... It is being lead away from God and I need to draw back to seeking God's guidance and have that self control God desires so I can do his will in how I respond to hurts. (Please forgive the length of this. This conversation is so rich) I think this conversation needs to be had with world leaders and all the families of the earth. I am starting to see that where conflict and strife happen, there seems to be a lack of the fruit of the Spirit. I asked the Lord to teach me about 1 Corinthians 13 and I believe He is answering. I just finished reading the story of Joseph in Egypt and I recall always thinking one of the greatest parts of his story was the rise to being 2nd ruler. As I have been maturing, I feel that it actually meant less to God than I thought. I believe God was more concerned about Joseph's heart and his capacity to love and forgive his brothers. Joseph could've hardened his heart, but he displayed God's character in his longsuffering, love, and forgiveness. God said to David that He was willing to give David more than he had if David thought it was too little (2 Samuel 12:8). In other words, it easy for God to bless us, but He wants our hearts. I am realizing like you ladies said, that God is after fruit which are attributes of Himself. I am not great with garden analogies, but could it be that the trials we face are like the process of tilling and pruning? The soil being our hearts? "Breaking up the ground and removing weeds and undesirable roots" in order to allow more fruit to grow. I am in a season that that seems impossible to overcome. However, I am paying more attention to the fruit now more than ever. Jeremiah 17:8 is a theme that runs through my mind at this time. I love you all and thank you so much for your work!

Great podcast. Jai, it finally hit me when you mentioned the vision God gave you of trying to hold back your ex from the affair. God does try to prevent us from sinning but He will not force us. It finally clicked this morning when I was watching this episode. We just have to be willing to see, listen, and heed His alerts.

To want to be love shows me that my heart is after God's own heart and when I am angry and impatient... It is being lead away from God and I need to draw back to seeking God's guidance and have that self control God desires so I can do his will in how I respond to hurts. This is very helpful and confirmation in what God is showing me and teaching me. I want to please God so being love is of greatest importance then self control.

(Please forgive the length of this. This conversation is so rich) I think this conversation needs to be had with world leaders and all the families of the earth.
I am starting to see that where conflict and strife happen, there seems to be a lack of the fruit of the Spirit.
I asked the Lord to teach me about 1 Corinthians 13 and I believe He is answering.
I just finished reading the story of Joseph in Egypt and I recall always thinking one of the greatest parts of his story was the rise to being 2nd ruler.
As I have been maturing, I feel that it actually meant less to God than I thought. I believe God was more concerned about Joseph's heart and his capacity to love and forgive his brothers. Joseph could've hardened his heart, but he displayed God's character in his longsuffering, love, and forgiveness.
God said to David that He was willing to give David more than he had if David thought it was too little (2 Samuel 12:8). In other words, it easy for God to bless us, but He wants our hearts.
I am realizing like you ladies said, that God is after fruit which are attributes of Himself.
I am not great with garden analogies, but could it be that the trials we face are like the process of tilling and pruning?
The soil being our hearts? "Breaking up the ground and removing weeds and undesirable roots" in order to allow more fruit to grow.
I am in a season that that seems impossible to overcome. However, I am paying more attention to the fruit now more than ever.
Jeremiah 17:8 is a theme that runs through my mind at this time.
