    My reasons were different.
    1. See the man who left us to suffer
    2. Show him we didn't die
3.show him that we don't need him anymore
And finally tell him that God fathered us and. Still is.
Do not expect love even if he shows up.
Wish you well in journey of finding identity.

Thanks so much @lynnngugi for your excellent work in exploring the diverse lives of Kenyans. Thank you Malaika for your authenticity and openness, for inviting us into your life, and discussing the difficult and often unimaginable suffering maids go through in Kenya, from fellow Kenyans. The inhuman treatment you underwent sounds stranger than fiction, including being pushed out of the house past midnight to go buy milk when all shops were closed; walking from Kasarani to Kariobangi, raped on the way back and still bleeding, your enslaver still beat you, denied you food etc. I hope the heartless Mama Stivo sees your story. She too is a victim of our society's unaddressed psychological and mental problems. I am not excusing Mama Stivo, but the fact is there are many Kenyan women and men who treat their maids or workers like slaves: not paying them, underpaying them and humiliating them daily.

The sad thing about this story is. If the man that raped this lady can see his son doing well. He can not come forward because he committed a crime. I wish this young man well.

I would advise the Son to forget about the rapist dad, that extended family he wants to meet will start asking for money wakiona mtoto AKo majuu, it happened to my friend in Germany, mtoto aligrow in Germany and she raised her by herself with so much struggle, the daughter grew up and wanted to meet the dad, she went to kenya and found her dad, what followed is the dad asking for money every now and then , aka an za kusumbua mtoto na pesa kila wakati, that ka girl kakiblock huyo deadbeat dad, hakakuwa kameambiwa na mtu. She was looking for closure the deadbeat saw an opportunity.
