I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the Return to New York storyline, which is were this hooded Raph is from. But combining both of those figures looks is gonna work out pretty damn well. Really looks like that's where they got the idea for the Last Ronin.
So I just looked up the whole bo staff height thing (cause one that only comes up to Donnie's shoulders seemed too short), and the staff should be the same height as you, or slightly shorter, like by a couple inches. This one reminds me of the super short staff Super7 gave their ultimate Donnie...but not quite as bad.
I initially skipped this set, in large part because I already have the 2008 turtles. However, I pulled them out of storage for the first time in a couple of years to find they’ve gone sticky on me. So I came here to watch the review and get the full breakdown, then scrambled to find a set for an acceptable price.
The stickiness is so odd because sometimes it cleans off nicely and sometimes it's permanent. Either way, this set RULES and is absolutely worth owning!
Cleaning them and leaving them to “air out” has helped tremendously. I still ordered a set of these guys and they should be here this weekend. I also picked up a foot enforcer; and am worried I’m now hooked on these mirage figures.
I’m absolutely blown away with this set and Neca in general. I’ve mostly been a hasbro collector (transformers, ML, and classified) and Neca blows them away at least in the looks column. Articulation has some ways to go. But best toy line in my opinion. I have the mirage four pack, both Ronins and the BD shredder. Looking for splinter next and Zog
Yeah, my math was bad on this one. Four NECA figures should be $148 and that's regular releases with plenty of heads and other accessories. This is a little overpriced.

_Yeeeah,_ that would've been mighty nice for the set to at least come with four additional heads, like unique coloured bandana ones. They know a ginormous swath of collectors (even over-the-hill OG ppl like myself) want the option for the different coloured bandanas. And I'm just thinking about additional heads with other expressions, especially since Leo's and Raph's are so similar. Or just simple things like a _'non-sticking out of a puddle of ooze'_ canister of ooze. They'll be including stuff like this with upcoming re-releases/accessory packs, ensuring us obsessed psychos have to double dip. I'm just not liking them becoming more and more like hasbro. Like how you got the Gargoyles *ultimates* line...but you have this Build-A-Wing thing going on. And that's not anything new with them, it's just an extreme tipping point. Don't call them the ultimate version of this or that character, when you have to spend 40 more dollars to complete the figure. And what about the 90% of the time standing/walking around "A frame" style wings? Like the standard wings I think 99% of us collectors wanted from the get-go. Are we going to have to buy another figure on top of another figure to get those wings at some point; or maybe some gigantic wing accessory pack lol.
When you mention the Mirage re-colours haven't been great, just wonderin' what you mean by that? Like it's sounding as if they changed the story and not just adding some colour. I was a comic book fanatic in the '90s, but completely stopped by '99. I'm really thinking about getting some trade paperbacks or something on these older Mirage comics.
@@NeedlessThings Oh okay. Yeah I found out with those latest Mirage Foot soldiers with being that weird blue, it all has to do with the recent IDW re-colouring. So they went from being b&w, to normal multi-coloured (where skin is skin tone & not blue), to now everyone looks like they're in blue shadows. Yeah, if I get any paperbacks, I'd much rather have the older versions.
@@Chalor. Look at the IDW reissued Mirage Compendiums. Includes almost everything in reading order and oversized format except the crossover issues because of licensing rights.

What are you talking about on 28:30 mark about a separate figure with more accessories? I don’t believe there is such a thing. Especially with these specific figures I think your confusing this with something else

I saw another review where the insides of their heads are labeled... So Leo is L Michelangelo is M etc... but you guessed them correctly.

NECA has just about perfected the art of toy making. That Zog is the best figure I've bought this year.

Great review. At $150 should have more accs. Even diff head sculpts would have been nice. Think I wiill take a pass on this set but it is cool.

Literally just the colors. I don't care for some of their choices. Check out the two different Renet figures.
