It depends on engine configuration, boosted or NA. A turbo bike, to me, likes to get loaded so a heavier rider will allow the turbo to create boost sooner and for a longer period of time ( until the preset boost level is reached ). NA, supercharged, nitrous.....weight always matters at all acceleration points at all times.
But at higher speeds isn’t the weight to HP ratio the same? And, I agree that if the larger person presents a larger frontal picture, they are definitely less aerodynamic.
Ahh, the memories. All came to an end, though, when I did something like this without the gear on and someone tried to pull out in front of me. Luckily there was no impact, but I slid across the road at about 80mph. Lost most of the skin off my back. Be safe out there, people.

Rider weight always matters. Check your owners manual and adjust suspension accordingly because despite what most people think it's not stock set for everyone. There's a reason why they put rebound dampening and ride height adjustments on every bike.
I agree, but if you adjust it for your exact weight all rebound and damp and everything you know how harsh and fkd up and uncomfortable it is on the streets? But yea do adjust it but not fully if it's just daily street riding commuted etc.. if tracking it and racing them it's a must.

O, it matters a lot. 190mph photoshoot, the shoes and the exhaust 🔥🔥🔥🔥.
All other things being equal, rider weight (mass) becomes relevant as soon as the attempt to accelerate begins. It matters all the time except when completely stopped.

Oh the sound!! Pure bliss!
This is an example of proper shifting before you hit the redline and rev limiter. 😂❤
Finally someone who knows how to shift respect for keeping her down.
The biggest reason that front end stayed down (as much as it did), was due to how slammed it is.
She came up a little bit
@@curveepee5386 it wasn't about the bike going up it how clean those shifts were .
@@mikeblust4445I'm betting most of that was the electronics (anti-wheelie) keeping the front wheel down.
lol bro there’s barely any skill involved shifting thru gears on a straight road with a quick-shifter.

The Camera man is FLASH Gordon
Машина возит тело, а Байк возит душу.!!!
Imagine crashing at 191mph. 😱
The lower the speed the more weight matters. At high speed you are fighting the wind more than weight.
But at higher speeds isn’t the weight to HP ratio the same? And, I agree that if the larger person presents a larger frontal picture, they are definitely less aerodynamic.
Maybe if the rider dropped their head down a bit lower tucking in begins the wind shield they might get closer to 200
Ahh, the memories. All came to an end, though, when I did something like this without the gear on and someone tried to pull out in front of me. Luckily there was no impact, but I slid across the road at about 80mph. Lost most of the skin off my back.

My man's got heart I would have pissed on myself at 100 Miles an hour!!!!
Naah it feels like you are in an east chair at 100.
Rider weight always matters. Check your owners manual and adjust suspension accordingly because despite what most people think it's not stock set for everyone. There's a reason why they put rebound dampening and ride height adjustments on every bike.
Appreciate that man.
I agree, but if you adjust it for your exact weight all rebound and damp and everything you know how harsh and fkd up and uncomfortable it is on the streets? But yea do adjust it but not fully if it's just daily street riding commuted etc.. if tracking it and racing them it's a must.
Um no only high end bikes have adjustable rebound. Most cheaper bikes are only preload adjustable
@@Cw0346 most 600cc supersports have it, the yamaha r6 have adjustable load/damp and rebound.
@@Jason.cbr1000rrwell done proving his point. All 600cc supersports are expensive! Hence the good suspension 🤦🏻
Smooth as butter, man. Nice form. I've found (being 5'10, 200lbs), after 20 years riding, neck strength matters more at top speeds.
Yeah. It feels like yours head is going to pop off from the wind on the helmet at speed.
Now imagine being 5'6 117 pounds. I feel like a get a crick after a top speed run😂
I concur
Neck strength??? tuck your big head in lol
What?😂. Motogp riders are little skinny 130lb guys. Not some big weight lifters. It doesnt take strong anything to ride a bike.😂
Power wheelie at 60 mph is impressive 👏
At that speed it’s about aero dynamics. At 150mph it takes 15hp to move the mirrors through the air.
