Hey Matt! You probably are, some pieces of this video were in my "How to film a wedding trailer" video from several months ago. This is just the full version of that video.
Thanks so much for these giant 4 part behind the scenes. I learned so much from you in the last 4 hours (including your audio guides and lots of other stuff from you). I record my first wedding film in around a month (after my own wedding in one week, that a buddy filmed for me, so that I can edit it by myself) and there are so many things that I didn't know how to do.... And you only have one attempt in some situations and I have not the time to test all things on the wedding day:-). Now, I know most of these things and only need to learn how to use this knowledge. Another big deal, but the first big step is gone. BIG THANKS FOR THAT! Wish you both an awesome weekend. Cheers
This is absolute gold, and you're giving it to us for free. Thank you so much Matt. You guys are wonderful. This has inspired me to be more creative and proactive/assertive in my requests for certain shots. Thank you. P.S. I didn't see a PayPal or Venmo link in the description, do you have one?
Matt, how did you not scream with absolute ecstasy at the lighting when they left. Once in a lifetime for a wedding videographers career. I would have screamed for an hour. Great work my friend, watched all four and loved them, you two are total pros, Mark
I intact did watch all of the videos in this series and loved all of it! I felt like I was right over your shoulder the whole time and your explanations/personality makes it educational and fun! Thank you!
This is so golden and can't appreciate enough all the information in this video! Two weeks till my next wedding gig and my confidence grew just watching this. Thank you good sir. Teach us more!!!
I’m late to the party but I have recently started videography, weddings in particular and this type of content….LIFE SAVING! it’s priceless! No college or school could give you this kind of incite so I thank you sir!
Matt... I really appreciate you having this channel man!! As someone that wants to get into wedding films, you have single handedly filled in all the gaps for me. I can't wait to put your tips to use! I got to tag along with a friend of mine at a wedding she's shooting this weekend and I am going to try my luck at filming it!! You and your lady rock!!
I am currently booked for 3 weddings so far. Trying get more knowledge before getting to the field. Your videos are very detailed and informative. Thank you for being a content creator for us upcoming wedding film makers.
You’re BTS videos are awesome....Noah and Mal’s wedding film was amazing!! The exit shots were phenomenal (thank you Mother Nature) but you captured it so well that the only way i can explain it is that you are a divine soul who is doing only what God meant for you to be doing. I am moved beyond words. Thank you.
You are hands down my biggest inspiration when I comes to filming weddings. I’ve only filmed 3 but been an assistant photographer on 4 and your attitude is one I wish I could see more of in this area! I love seeing that even you big timers run into random misfortunes while filming, and manage to power through it!
LOVED every minute of this BTS series. Great job, you three! Matt, I have been shooting weddings for 5 years now, and yet, I find this to be so refreshing. Watching you do some of the things I do is a confirmation for me. Watching you do different things from what I do helps me learn to correct what I'm doing wrong or to add more arsenal to my craft. Thank you, thank you, thank you for giving back to the community. I sincerely appreciate this. Blessings!
Dude! I was only disappointed that all 4 parts weren’t 45min. Loved watching an expert explain their craft in so much detail. Can’t wait for more like this.
Thanks for this series. I used to do some wedding films a few years ago but haven't done any in a while so this really helped freshen up and learn new tricks.
Thank you matt! I have my first wedding this weekend October 22nd! Super excited ! What makes me the most nervous is gonna be the ceremony shots & angles with just 2 cameras. But your video gives me confidence seeing real life in action filming!
I don't even film weddings, but I do live events in general and this series of videos was soooo helpful and fun to watch. thank you very much, Matt! :)
Thanks Matt.. So much learning from you guys. I also get tired watching 4 videos and I feel tired as if I was one of the crew shooting the whole event. whew... Awesome experience watching and learning.
loved every video Matt. they have all helped me so much. My girlfriend and I are trying to get into wedding videography. she is amazing with planning and people but lacks a lot of camera knowledge. I'm about to force her to watch everything with me so she gets a better understanding. thanks for making them can't wait for whats to come next
Fantastic series Matt and it's really helpful to see the behind the scenes of the weddings you've shot. Please keep making this type of content and I certainly appreciate it!
Really great video, thanks for inspiration and joy! Know I’ll check the rest out, don’t ask how or why I started with part 4. I’m definitely gonna have that ending burger in my manuscript!
Hi Matt, for me & my sister starting a videography business, your tutorials are film-school for us...Please keep em coming, we watched every one and learned so much...Thank you and warm wishes :)

Super helpful! Loved this whole series! I'd be interested in how you do slow motion + sped up shots in the editing process - I think that's really cool!
Thank you so much for this series and for all of your videos. I just filmed my first wedding two weeks ago. I have a long way to go but thanks to these videos I was willing to jump in and give it a try!

You need to be prepared. That will make the difference. Thank you so much Matt. You are a great guy.
Amazing! Great job. I originally followed you for your computer builds and later learned you also do awesome wedding video work. I really liked this series.
Loved it! My wife and I just finished up a wedding on sat and totally agree about the "take a day" advice! I played some destiny 2 while my wife enjoyed slime rancher, haha. Thank you for taking the time to do this, genuinely. We've gotten comfortable with the time crunches and adaptability to the craziness that is weddings....but I can't imagine also trying to film a bts/ tutorial WHILE doing a wedding. You guys are freaking rockstars. A big high five from the bluegrass state!
Matt. Thank you so much for this video. I have been trying to find some bts videos and this series was by far the best. I have done one wedding this last summer as a trial to see if its something that I would consider on the side. Well like many people I am hooked. My wife and I are going to tackle it as a team. I just need to invest in a little more gear and I should be set.
Watched all your behind the scenes and many other videos you have made. Love, love, love them. Wife and I have been a husband/wife wedding photographers for quiet a few years now and are starting to branch into videography also. Learned so so much, would love to see more behind the scenes and editing tips and tricks
All these videos have gave me a complete insight on a filming field that I knew absolutely nothing about now thanks to you know a lot more. Would like to try getting in the wedding biz but it's hard starting.
Watched all the videos and they were great. I loved how you guys show the lens, aperture, and ISO setting for each shot. I set my 1 and 2 dials to slow motion and 30 FPS like you showed me in your other videos. It’s like I am your intern lol One thing I am waiting to see is how you edit all those different frame rates, how you choose music, etc. more of the editing process. I am working on editing my first and I’ll send you a link when done. Thanks again so much for providing such a great resource! I have seriously learned so much from watching your videos.
