This man deserves millions of subscribers . He's a life saver . But is so underrated
This is really amazing, considering that there are so many terms and mechanisms in organic chemistry, but you were able to explain in an hour!! Truly amazing, thank you so much
If anyone is watching this
Am gonna tell you this now
Everything he’s mentioning is important
I used his crash course for both my As and A2
And am happy that I missed out by only 2% to get an A*
Will u pls tell , in which year you gave ur exam and what grade u got (if fine with you) . And if his videos are more than enough for preparation
@@stalker9999stak it’s enough for basic understanding but in the book there’s additional information such as about detailed mechanism and thas very important so go through the book as well!!

Its important but other topics are equally important too for an A*, They tend to ask the As mechanisms lesser for A2 though.
man you're a savior. i couldn't study organic chem in AS properly and now in A2 I'm struggling the most because you basically have to have AS knowledge for tackling questions/ This video summed up everything, lots of prayers sent to your way
i second u, didnt pay much attention to organic in AS, got the A but coming to A2 it gets very tough. This was very helpful my g

I thought the change from primary alcohols to aldehyde needed acidified k2cr2o7 + *heat* and not *reflux*
alcohols are volatile. heating volatile substances requires reflux.
(reflux is also heating, just with a condensor on top to prevent volatile substance from escaping when it evaporates)
Reflux is used in primary alcohol to carboxylic acid
For the conversion of primary alcohol to aldehyde, the alcohol is distilled off
yes
unsatuated as in, it can be alkyne too, right sir?! in test for identification of unsaturated compounds -electrophilic addition reaction

I thought the mild oxidation of alkenes was cold, dilute acidic potassium manganate.
both acidic or alkaline could be used the only difference would be color change.
acidic : purple to colorless
Mn(+7) to Mn(+2)
alkaline : purple to brown
Mn(+7) to Mn(+4)
alkaline condition makes it even more mild oxidation.
Allah apka bhala karay, incredibly helpful.
