I've got a membership. It's worth the $$$, But YOU have to practice. Brett's a great teacher as well as a great player. He breaks down everything so that even a doofus like me can understand it.
I remember first seeing you on Marty Schwartz's channel a long long time ago and here you are now years later providing some of the best lessons on TH-cam! Excellent content sir.
Just started to practice more seriously and wow practicing while watching your lessons really made me improve in such an extremely short time. Thank you so much Brett Papa!
I’ve got the yearly membership and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done! I love the Kajabi app format and I can check out any video at anytime to practice. And you Brett are the man! And I thank you for everything I learn everyday. Cheers buddy from the U.K. 🎸🍻
You rule Brett, always make me smile when I'm watching your vids, been my favourite thing on youtube for a long time .(10 years) .You are the awesomest guitarist and tutor ever! So lucky to have found you. MERCI ,MERCI, MERCI !!!!!!
So glad to hear you mention Frank Marino. Probably my most played album front to back is Frank Marino "The Power of Rock and Roll". I don't hear many people talk about it though.
Great lessons, first time major pentatonics clicked for me, and Ive had several guitar teachers that could teach me to play, but not understand it. Thanks dude!
Brett, I was kicking around on my guitar with the ideas you taught in this video....and suddenly I remembered an old song that was on one of Johnny Winters first studio albums...the song is called " Ain't nothing to me" And in that song there is a lick that resolves first to the Em chord and then you play the exact same lick only this time you resolve to G.... it works and sounds good. LOL- way cool and good song....check it out if you can.......😃
BP's a badass ! ! I haven't learned it, but I love how you employ the hybrid touch. Great riffs. Great lessons ! ! ! &^%$, great riffs BRO ! ! ! ! Still the best lessons on the tube ! !
The more I learn about playing guitar and improvisational soloing, the more I realize that you can conceivably land on ANY note in any given piece. But if you want it to sound good and sound like it belongs, you have to understand the structure of what you’re playing. This lesson really helps explain how and when it works to play certain notes. I feel like BP has given me permission to play certain things that other guitar teachers have said to stay away from. Thanks for the lesson. There’s a LOT to learn here…
Just signed up for the membership a minute ago and I'm already playing better! Seriously, one of your videos on YT last week just seriously connected some dots for me. Looking forward to sitting with all of your lessons
Hey Brett. My first video with you after being recomended by Paul at studio Rats. this is flipping eye opening. this is the stuff I am learning right now. very very helpful. thankyou
Hi Brett, i am so intrigued how you explain in your lesson's, how do i get on to your system, i can relate to how you teach, specially on the Pentatonic scales and Arpeggio's and triads, how can i get more literature from you, how dpes one go about it, i live in SA -- CAPETOWN.
Im just introduced to Frank Marino and thank you for the introduction,,, I think it would be an awesome idea to have him on as a guest on your channel !!! Its unfortunate that a lot of these greats didnt social media around back in their day. Listening to Red House now,,, lol hes ike a BB King influenced, George Benson rock, jazz, blues ,,, trio ! Love it Hands Down !
Hey Brett- One of the best lessons I have ever seen from you! Nice job. I can not tell you how much it means to me that you mentioned how great Don Felder and Joe Walsh are or were -especially the Licks they came up with on Hotel California. IMO Joe is not mentioned near enough as a great player and if it wasn't for -Don - a lot of the Eagles "Hits" wouldn't have been hits at all.
I remember hearing Frank Marino on the California Jam 2 album in the 70s. BLEW MY MIND. I was always disappointed that he/Mahogany Rush was never played on our rock/AOR stations.
I was one of the 15. Been debating the course. I figured I’ve gotten enough out of your free TH-cam videos alone to justify grabbing the course. There’s a lot of content to go through!
I see Brett has a different guitar and get the feeling he's loving it. The tone sounds great, and I reckon his right hand is enjoying a break from that annoying volume pot on the end of the bridge pick up. Some nice Walsh / Felder style licks in there to enjoy.
Thanks Paul! Yeah Michael Tuttle the guitar maker made me a custom guard for that guitar which was awesome of him to do. Fantastic guitar! Thanks for watching!
That is the typical Rock way to do a progression and it makes it more of a mixolydian mode which is still a major mode. G Major pentatonic also doesn't have a F# in it so it all works.
Good stuff 👍🏼 One of the most melodic solos I’ve ever heard (and that’s coming from someone who puts Neal Schon at the top of that list) is from your CAGED Improvising Concepts video from 9/7/2018. What a perfect set of licks over those chord changes.
Love your channel...really love you gave Frank Marino a shout out. RealLive is fantastic. Right after red house he pops into He's calling ...another face melter
Hey man, big fan of your work! I really like these lessons on nasty blues. I haven’t watched this one yet but really dug the one on nasty minor pentatonic licks. I was considering purchasing one of your lessons. Do you have a full lesson on your site that covers all the nasty blues licks in more detail ? Thanks 👍🏼
@@BrettPapa ah, good salesman 👍🏼. I may do that, we’ll see. I wish I would I have seen the 50% deal, very gracious. I’m sure I’ll pull the trigger on either a course or a membership sometime soon. Thanks 🎸👍🏼

Didn't realize you brought up Marino in this session. Yeah cdm Marino. Just saying hello. Awesome to see some highschool people doing right. Later.
Brett, thanks for this class... But i've one question... Why are you using a Gmajor/Eminor scale if it seems this progression (using G/F/C majors etc) is in C major / A minor key ????
Yes I do. There are the Blues Soloing Secrets courses that have a level one. The membership is basically going to be the same price with the discount and you will get everything. That's enough for years lol!
Some lovely stuff ! Think of the song “mother heads family reunion” and the Native Tongue album by poision. You can hear this style all over Richie Kotzens playing

yo Brett, GREAT (GREAT!) video. Would be good if you could demonstrate these licks on a backing track tho. do you have these pedals where you can record your chord progression then play it back? if you do, perhaps you can do that, then demonstrate the licks on top of the chords so we really hear it. I think it would be even better, but great video man.

Your characterization of people who like jazz is uncalled for and near unforgivable. I'm pretty much a simple person with simple tastes but I love jazz.
