Yo thanks for the vid. Question,,, With that EL SKYPORT, is that how your are getting away with crossing up brands of transmitter and flash? I have a good investment in Rotolight with an Elinchrom transmitter which I am really happy with for portraiture but just scooped up a great deal on a Flashpoint EXPLOR PRO600 to step into the realm of HSS TTL for outdoor sport shooting more. It would be nice to think I could avoid getting the flashpoint transmitter and my research has proven unsuccessful to tell how to mix brands. Thanks for your time.
I think it’s possible to go either way really. Which Elinchrom transmitter do you have, and do you have an Elinchrom receiver? The Flashpoint Transmitter will give you great control and TTL functionality with the Explor600 Pro, and they’re relatively cheap. The Elinchrom transmitter won’t give you TTL control, or any control of your Flashpoint light other than simple triggering via an Elinchrom receiver. Does that make sense? Do you have Elinchrom lights as well or just the transmitter?
@@IanHylandsPhotography The Rotolight has built in receiving for the Elinchrom so I have the same Transmitter you have in this vid. ELSP-HS... Yah "6 of 1, 1/2 dozen of another", The Flashpoint trigger is priced really reasonable so I will likely just invest in another bank of Flashpoint kit.
Hi, I used my Elinchrom Quadra lights in high speed mode along with my Godox AD200 Pro lights attached to Elinchrom Receivers and they worked well together. You need to adjust the output of the Godox lights manually (or with Godox transmitter) so no TTL, but you can use both together. Does that help?
You can trigger the RX4 light by attaching the Godox Reciever via the 3.5 mm cable. You won't be able to control the power lever with the Godox Transmitter however.
Really been enjoying these gear videos! Not to mention I just bought a set of Flashpoint 300 Pro's, Bout time I got some lighting knowledge!
Thanks, I’m glad they’re useful. So many more to make when I find the time!
Really nice! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Dave!
