    I love this interview. It shows him playing, part of his creative process, his experience coming from previous MPCs and his confidence continuing to use today’s current MPCs. Please do more! MPC is a community and 3 MPCs later (1000 in 2005, LIVE in 2018 and X SE in 2023), I get more excited to create. I could use a computer and I do, BUT the magic starts with my MPC in standalone. Thank you Akai for continuing to update my beloved MPC to keep up with today’s workflow.

    My MPC is my DAW, I love the workflow. I love the preciseness, with zero lag when recording external gear. And I love FREE updates and VSTs and hope there will be more.

    We need more than just 4 minutes we need hours of another B-Cox joint OOOh!! lol Omgosh this man the legendary Bryan-Michael Cox is Half man and half amazing all of the songs he created and produced are beyond stella and legendary I love every song from Mariah, Mary J, Toni Braxton, Usher, Jagged Edge, Chris Brown 1st album to Day 26 whole album I still play all the time till this day and every artist and more has been a joy to hear and listen to these wonderful songs that have been the soundracks to my life the memories I hold dearly. I met you at the bet awards or some music event a long time ago and you were larger than life yet humbe and awesome! Thank you Bryan for your wonderful God given gift of creating some of the best music of our lifetime I give you your flowers Today and always. You attained the Guinness World Records for the longest consecutive period of chart success by spending over 5 consecutive years there, breaking the record that was previously held by The Beatles. Wow God Bless you and much continue success! I hope we meet again!

    B. Cox is one of the R&B goats! One of my biggest influences! The cookup he did sounds similar to a record for Joe he did in 2007 called "You Should Know Me," atleast the progression is similar.

    This is off-topic but I was wondering when the new AKAI EWI will be released? I have owned an EWI4000, EWI5000, and currently own 2 EWi-USBs . I also own a Roland AE-10. I would like my next purchase to be an AKAI EWI along the lines of the Aerophone Pro models. Is that in the works? Thanks much!

    This new Akai MPC Key 61 is really amazing, great, there are no limitations in the creation, recording, editing, production,... you don't need anything else, neither computers, nor external instruments, just this wonderful keyboard!

    okay so samples a random guitar thats suitsable to put in a keygroup now im trying to manipulae it to yhe point i press the pad and after a certain point it loops until i release the pad how do i do this how do i make it happen?

    What happened to the sound... The whole reason we brought these machines was for the sound.. I truly can't understand why, they improved the functionality but forgot about the sound.. It's mind baffling.

      Sounds good to me, and I've heard the old ones. Best sounding standalone on the market today in my opinion. But if you don't like how they sound, I feel that. You like what you like

      @@dre7sus I wouldn't use the same samples in both, but you can get the sound very close. The samples back in the day was very dirty.

      Learn it, you can learn anything, just reprogram your mind. Just like a computer software program can be reprogrammed so those your brain. Just change your way of thinking from wishing to doing something like practicing how to play keys.

    I respect your hustle but why wouldn’t those hit records hold up?? A good record is a good record doesn’t matter if its made with a mpc or not. And I’m not against Akai I had lots of Akai gear. I had all of the mpc’s conceived except for the mpc fly and renaissance. And I love what the akai force bring to the Akai ecosystem

      Brian keeps all his old equipment. He just doesn't use them anymore. Same as Jermaine. All the tracks they make now are on the new generation. I was in the room with Brian when he made this......He is pure talent man. So many hits under his belt.

      @@jerzboybeats On the first question, yes. The artist and producer have a vibe. So when producing, you are basically remixing the artist with your sound.
      On the second question, spend time creating your signature sound. Create a core of drum samples, synth patches, etc. This will allow you to create quickly and get the idea out of your head. Sounds can be changed or upgraded later.
