I love this interview. It shows him playing, part of his creative process, his experience coming from previous MPCs and his confidence continuing to use today’s current MPCs. Please do more! MPC is a community and 3 MPCs later (1000 in 2005, LIVE in 2018 and X SE in 2023), I get more excited to create. I could use a computer and I do, BUT the magic starts with my MPC in standalone. Thank you Akai for continuing to update my beloved MPC to keep up with today’s workflow.

I met you at the bet awards or some music event a long time ago and you were larger than life yet humbe and awesome! Thank you Bryan for your wonderful God given gift of creating some of the best music of our lifetime I give you your flowers Today and always. You attained the Guinness World Records for the longest consecutive period of chart success by spending over 5 consecutive years there, breaking the record that was previously held by The Beatles. Wow God Bless you and much continue success! I hope we meet again!
My MPC is my DAW, I love the workflow. I love the preciseness, with zero lag when recording external gear. And I love FREE updates and VSTs and hope there will be more.
@ThinkerThunker I love your Bigfoot research, been watching your channel for years! What MPC do you use now and which do you still own? 2000xl and 1000 for me.
B. Cox is one of the R&B goats! One of my biggest influences! The cookup he did sounds similar to a record for Joe he did in 2007 called "You Should Know Me," atleast the progression is similar.
You see it clearly here. Basically you need talent and a high skill level then you can do nearly everything with the MPC stuff. If that is missing these wonderful devices have a boring life in their homes.
This new Akai MPC Key 61 is really amazing, great, there are no limitations in the creation, recording, editing, production,... you don't need anything else, neither computers, nor external instruments, just this wonderful keyboard!
This is off-topic but I was wondering when the new AKAI EWI will be released? I have owned an EWI4000, EWI5000, and currently own 2 EWi-USBs . I also own a Roland AE-10. I would like my next purchase to be an AKAI EWI along the lines of the Aerophone Pro models. Is that in the works? Thanks much!

What happened to the sound... The whole reason we brought these machines was for the sound.. I truly can't understand why, they improved the functionality but forgot about the sound.. It's mind baffling.
Sounds good to me, and I've heard the old ones. Best sounding standalone on the market today in my opinion. But if you don't like how they sound, I feel that. You like what you like
He's talking about mpc fully. Clearly you can see he's playing on a key61 which holds up as well. WAY before the DAWS started making music sound like it was coming off a computer being programmed which was something people missed. He said it without saying it
Suggestion/ Wishlist: @AkaiProVideo Please make an Akai MPC Key 88 🎹 in (2) flavors! Akai MPC Key 88 HA (Hammer Action) & Akai MPC Key 88 WA (Waterfall Action) WA like Nord Stage Compact / Yamaha YC Models! Please 🙏🏾 & thank you! 🤝🏾 The last time we had an 88 from you was MPK88.

The Legendary B Cox! 🫡🔥 the OG’s just different had to actually learn everything and play that shit yourself I wish I could develop the patience to do this again.
Brian keeps all his old equipment. He just doesn't use them anymore. Same as Jermaine. All the tracks they make now are on the new generation. I was in the room with Brian when he made this......He is pure talent man. So many hits under his belt.

@@jerzboybeats On the first question, yes. The artist and producer have a vibe. So when producing, you are basically remixing the artist with your sound. On the second question, spend time creating your signature sound. Create a core of drum samples, synth patches, etc. This will allow you to create quickly and get the idea out of your head. Sounds can be changed or upgraded later.
B. Cox is one of the best to ever do it. I’ve seen practically all of his cookups on TH-cam. I needed this inspiration!!!
