    Once again a great tuto from a pro...Now on an other subject,
    can you tell me how to export a 9gb project from fcpx to a USB key so that it can be read on any device.
    Currently, due to its size, my project should only be exported to keys formatted in ExFat and not Fat32, but the television cannot read it.

    • @Brad_West
      @Brad_West  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would recommend using something like Handbrake to convert the file and reduce the file size. You should be able to get it under 4GB quite easily and that will work on a FAT32 USB. I did a video on it here: th-cam.com/video/VWZVTt1hFLY/w-d-xo.html

      @@Brad_West Thank you Brad, once again a clear and precise answer and a suitable solution ...
      you are a pro!

    Hi , I have a query, I am working on a wedding project with 3 video cameras, and the size of all the cameras is 160 GB, and when I worked on the Final Cut program, I used proxy media and Ubtomized Media, and the size of the Ubtomized Media folder reached 300 GB, and I used a hard disk of 1 TB, what is Ubtomized Media? ? Is optimized media necessary when using proxy media? The problem I have is that the hard disk is full and I did not finish the wedding ,I am using the Render Auto, the Render Auto is working and I am working on the project 😅

    • @Brad_West
      @Brad_West  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The first thing I would do is turn auto render off. It takes up so much space and most of the time you don’t need to render everything on your timeline to play it back. If you’re referencing the footage externally (in other words, the footage was not copied into the library) you can deleted all of the optimized and I optimized media to save space. I hope that helps 😊🤞🏼

      @o_studio87photography89 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Brad_West Thanks for your reply , but can I delete the proxy media and the optomized media while I'm working on the project? When I open a new project, do I have to add Optimized Media or is it necessary? What is the Optimized Media?

    • @Brad_West
      @Brad_West  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you can delete it. This little guide should help explain the difference: support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/final-cut-pro/verb8e5f6fd/mac 😊
