These kind of people are LITERALLY the kind of people that make Yugioh no fun for me anymore. I cant even imagine how new players feel trying to learn the game.
Once, I met a “casual” try-hard. He shuffles his deck in a clunky way, plays like the otaku duelist, doesn’t even bother to improve on it or at least make a decent rogue deck. He also gets hostile when I tell him to at least get cards that add protection to his combos, opening plays etc.

His speech mannerisms annoyed me, it oozed arrogance, all I wanted then was just… to play the game. And he even forgets the rules and misplays half the time. In other words, probably as close as Eugene is. Minus the fun factor.

I remember this kind of person (the first dude) always being at my locals. The dude didn't even want to talk to me and literally screamed when I took his card just to read it. I also remember some yugioh youtuber (I forgot who it was, not here to be rude to them or something) saying how you should just accept a "good player" being rude and winning the match as fast as possible without any communication because "youre wasting their time" and they want to "face meta decks to practice"
It really sucks that these people exist. This being said, there should be an important distinction should be made between a) people who play competitively (i.e. those who enjoy playing the best deck but are not toxic), b) people who build decks optimally, though not necessarily competitive decks and c) toxic players who believe that *other people* should play the way they enjoy to play (this does not just apply to competitive players either, causal elitist do exist and acknowledging that is important)
Galactic God’s Synchro deck Profiles got me into Playing Synchrons And now I have a Synchron deck which can Wombo Combo hard because of him I also learned about Quasar through him

I saw first hand in that tag on pro where you had shadow imprisonment, there can be only one, AND lose 1 turn face-up with your janky timelords and you're doing this Joker chuckle like "it's not about the tournament... It's about sending a message. Everything burns"
These try-hards are some of the stupiest people you'll ever meet honestly these people to me are just content food and they're so easy to mess around with, I'll further iterate that these guys make content for yugi-tubers just by existing and I'm certain this is proof.
Not an accurate depiction of try hard at all. Everyone gives you positive feedback but you need tough love bro. You lost your touch. This video wasn't funny and it not the same quality it used to be (the jokes and script) you did a similar video to this around 2017 or so and it was hilarious because you made fun of meta decks from the time like spyral and others but it was funny because you knew those decks and could point out an annoyance in that meta deck (like trickstars) You could've made a joke about herald of ultimateness or tribrigade players activating revolt. I can see that you don't have the same passion for the game and I understand that. However you chose to come back and I know there's alot to keep up with in this game since your break, but bro... come on just learn the meta and then make fun of it. I know your channel was always more casual but you were one of the biggest yugitubers back then. I'm not trying to be an asshole, I just don't want you to quit again or do worse. Find a new Deck to love and make content the way it used to be or better.
