I actually just got into Goat format, so this video is actually really good for a beginner like me. I will say right now I didn't start with goat control, but with a chaos deck just because I like chaos sorcerer and BLS. But yea, nice video as always :)

I loved your old introduction to goat video and it got me into researching the sets to make my own goat format deck, and I figured one out on my own that actually does ok :D
I call it water control, and the strategy revolves around:
A Legendary Ocean, reducing water monsters levels
Gravity Bind, level 4s and higher can;t attack,
Swords of Revealing Light, more stall,
and Penguin Soldiers, Abyss Soldiers, and Nightmare Penguins for being an annoying dick sending all my opponents stuff back to hand.
Nightmare Penguin boosting my water monsters attack, and some other good old water monsters like Amphibious Bugroth Mk3 for direct attacks, Fenrir to potentially get a version of the yata lock in goat format, and Mother Grizzly is the Giant Rat of the deck for water monsters, then just pretty much just the goat format staples
I am just realizing how amazing the artworks of these old cards are.

I live in Michigan and I wish I had a tournaments that did goat format here. I would love to play this format but it’s not really popular where I’m at. I always see people hosting big tournaments for it a couple years back and I’m not sure if they still do those but I’d love to be a part of it.

I really love your explanations on GOAT!! But i have some questions hoping anyone could help me.
1) You need to play Pre-Errata cards to play legally? or can you use new prints of cards and just remember the OG effect?
2) is there a TCG/OCG diference? since i believe Scapegoat was at 1 on TCG and 3 on OCG back then. Can you play with either banlist or can you use one global banlist?

if next time you make a new video about goats, I would appreciate if you put examples of lists when you talk about certain decks, making easier to understand and learn. Still good video :)
So happy you changed your stance on exarion. I think the card is interesting and I always keep it in my binder incase I’m playing with someone who refuses to play without it, but I always thought it made the format stale. The stats are insane, the level is insane, the piercing is insane, and even the attribute is insane! It takes so much skill out of deck building and overall playing. Like you said, why play half of the available cards out there when you can just play exarion? As someone who played goats during its prime, exarion tends to take a lot of nostalgia away from goat format for me, as obviously it wasn’t played at the time. I think for a card that does so much with no drawback, that almost warps the meta while not being being legal til CRV, it’s kinda dumb to even argue its place in goat format anymore. If you wanna play exarion, by all means do, as long as your opponent agrees, it’s fun every once in a while! But if we’re actually going to make goat format a thing for the future, we should not have a small custom format like goat be split into two communities of exarion and non. If exarion was actually played and was legal during that time, there would be no argument at all. But no real tournaments had anyone playing exarion before crv was released. And no, a small handful of local tournaments that sold the tins two weeks early does not count....

It's the best and addicting to play back to back imo.
Goat Format is the best way to play Yugioh, if you play the actual format sure you can enjoy the game, but more than once you will be frustrated by diferent reasons, card prices, comunity and many more, but believe me, goat format is the soul of the greatest era of Yugioh.

Can somebody explain to me why exarion is so strong? Yeah he has high attack and can do piercing, but so does Enraged Battle Ox who only has 100 less ATK? What gives?
1900 Def on Exarion also means that Tsuk can't get over it. Plus it is a dark for the chaos monsters.

It being a dark is the main thing. It means that basically every other non-flip, non-tribute Dark type monster you would use is pointless because Exarion probably outclasses it.
