I kept waiting for a bear to just show up out of the blue. Amazing video and excellent tutorial. Using speed ramps (up or down) on the quickshots adds a lot to the videos also :)

That’s why I’m still keeping my DJI Mini 2 despite the new drones coming out in the market.

@@JakeSloan I just sold mavic pro 2 because mavic 3 will be out October with zoom lens, however I just fly for fun with all the new restrictions I may get mini 2 instead . Maybe more useful for traveling

Also, have you used the RTH feature while manipulating the footage? I would be interested in a semblance of active track if my motorcycle at slow speed and going parallel to me.... Have anything like that?

Unfortunately there is no speed controls for any of these. The RTH feature is interesting for filming with but I haven’t had time to really play with it much yet.

I use Final Cut Pro (Mac only) I do recommend davinci resolve for those who run Mac and Pc

Hi Jake. New subscriber after watch this great video. Had my DJI Mini SE only a couple of weeks now. Loving it but haven't created any videos for TH-cam. What video editing software are you using? I need something easy as I'm useless! Thanks
if you use Mac then use iMovie if you use PC then look up hit film express. otherwise there is a decent little editor built into the DJI app
@@JakeSloan thanks. I'm a PC user so will take a look. Didn't realise that the DJI App does video editing so will take a look although I use a micro SD card on the drone & not sure if I can see the data that's on the micro SD card on my mobile. Thanks for the advise & keep up the great work.
Amazing video ! So I’m heading to Washington/Oregon next week and I’m taking my Dji mini is there a certain elevation and distance that I have to set for my drone since there will be a lot of big trees around
make sure it's set to be at least 20-40 ft higher than the trees you will be flying around!

Thank you for all the tips. Your audio tracks do every bit as much however as the videos. Can you imagine if there was no audio track? Where and how do you select the audio tracks? Could you provide a 5 step lesson on that?

💥💥 Excellent creative info, thank you. Does the video have to stop after using each of these quick shot modes? It would be nice if I could keep the recording going and maybe just have it hover after if goes through it’s path. 🤟🏼
it does stop and unfortunately there is no way to keep the drone recording since these are intelligent pre programed flight modes
@@JakeSloan thanks for the reply and what a bummer. With some like the rocket I wish it would shoot up to the set altitude then just hover there while I move around or something. I was in an empty parking lot with my daughter one time after the ski lifts closed down and I would love to have gotten in my car and driven out of the frame as if I was leaving.

Thanks, Jake, a really useful video. Quick question - what fps do you recommend to shoot videos with drone in general? I live in EU and always choosing between 24 and 25 fps, can’t decide :)
Since you are in the EU 25 or 30fps for sure

If you want to slow it down a bit in post and give it a bit of a dreamy feel. Still has the motion blur then 😉

Once I installed DJI Fly app on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. For some reason, I reset my phone. But in my phone memory the DJI Fly app's folders were not deleted. After resetting I installed again the app and fly my DJI Mini 2. But no flight record files were not recorded in FlightRecord folder. Now what can I do or how can I delete all folders and reinstall DJI Fly app.
Not really sure. You may need to contact DJI support
I will never understand why no one makes a drone this size with even minimal active tracking

Once the SDK is released there will be plenty of 3rd party options available that will offer the feature.

Hour and a half on 3 batteries with Mini 2….are you joking. The honest answer is 15 minutes per battery +/- under 20% warning and +/- return to home landing time.
