This game could've been so peak if they stuck with it. Joined in the beta test, stayed until the very last minute.
Lego Universe genuinely had so much potential, and could’ve been at the level of Minecraft or Fortnite if they kept it going. It unfortunately just wasn’t meant to be.

I never got far in this game, but boy, did I like it.
It’s also my favorite game of all time, even though I only had access to the free version for the entirety of live. I had way too much fun playing the game as a kid. When I went back to play it through Darkflame, it had lost that special MMO ‘playing with everyone else in the lobby’ spark. Still, it will forever hold a special place in my heart. #AssemblyTillTheEnd
Same here when I was a kid I'd play daily on the first island for free running up and down the island doing everything there was to do and I loved the challenge trail thing with 3 other people where you just keep fighting and surviving or fighting the giant spider

the Lego company never had much success with mmo's. tho not due to a lack of trying. I've missed Lego Universe sorely, and have thought fondly on it for all the years since. with the Lego fortnite project releasing tomorrow, It seems like the power of Imagination shall thrive once more! I look forward to the project's success, but there will always be a special brick-shaped spot in my heart for this gem.
It’ll never replace Lego Universe, but I’m super excited to drop into Lego Fortnite! I’m really curious on what it’s going to be like.

Awesome video man. I also consider Lego Universe my fave game of all time as well and I’m so happy people we’re able to remake it ( Lego Darkflame Universe ) and now I can play it again and it’s awesome! I love it so much and I play it a ton! It’s everything I wanted and more!
Wish it would be easy to just download and join instead of playing around with this Ubuntu stuff

It’s really easy and requires little to no setup if you’re invited to somebody else’s server, but finding a server to join presents its own challenges, since public servers are not legal.
@@AidenPremium Well not true, I tried to set up already, Ubuntu decided to download in different version, could not change it, whilst following all the steps, could not remove files when they were downloaded wrong to start over and was not working, not sure where you get "little to no setup" from.
Anyways need to learn to part with things that are gone even though Lego Fortnite decided to use LU music in pirate trailer.

It’s easy/requires little to no setup if you’re joining somebody else’s server. All you have to do in that case is download the client and make an account for their server. You only need to mess with Ubuntu if you’re setting up your own server.
Would be cool if Darkflame got the cut content in-game too, and made their own. Sorta like Soapbox is for Need For Speed World, where they make their own cars and stuff.
Some servers do add stuff, and I know there’s one guy who’s been working on the Ninjago Fire Temple/Garmadon boss fight
This was so interesting to see. I simply love the aesthetics of this game! Would have been interesting to hear more of your opinions; i.e. is it fun, challenging, short, grindy? How long does it take to "complete"? What is the endgame like? The building? Thanks for a great video.
It’s been awhile since I made the video, so I don’t remember what all I covered (iirc, it was focused mostly on the main progression of the game and it’s story). To answer your questions:
-The game is a blast (for me, and plenty of others; although there are definitely people who don’t enjoy it as much).
-It can be challenging at times, particularly before you get rank 3 faction gear.
-Depending on your definition of completion in this game, it could be as short as a few days. As far as 100% completion (completing all possible passport achievements and quests), we have a few people who’ve 100% the game in roughly 300 hours.
-The endgame is very grindy. It consists typically of getting the valiant weapon and cape for your class, and grinding out Crux Prime. It’s got some fun enemies and bosses, and an entire section of the world dedicated to Ninjago. The early game is a lot more fun to me, since there’s just more to do and more challenge.
-I don’t remember if I even covered building, as it’s not a feature I really take advantage of in the game very often. The quick builds are similar to a traditional Lego game (like Lego Star Wars), and work very well. As far as the free build on properties go, while I don’t mess around with it often, it is pretty cool. There’s a very large selection of bricks and pre-built models to use, and I’ve seen some awesome builds, like the van from Breaking Bad. It controls about as well as a digital building program can, although the color selection for brick building is somewhat limited. The free build/property system also played a part in the game shutting down back in 2012, since Lego had to have people moderate and approve said properties.
I appreciate the questions/input, and I’m happy you enjoyed the video! While I already have a few more videos planned for Lego Universe in the future, it might be worthwhile to revisit some of the topics I missed or didn’t touch on as in depth.

Wow! I’d checked out the restoration efforts some years back and they let you into the game world but the content was missing, and I’d written off a full functional recreation like what you seem to be describing here. I don’t imagine I’ll have as much fun as you seem to be - this game really isn’t the sort that I’d be into if I didn’t latch onto it when I was younger. But still, it should be a fun trip down memory lane, and thanks for making me aware of this!
Also, that Maelstrom Impostor did critical psychological damage to me.
Tbh, it's kinda sad that we never got an ending because of the game being cancelled.
Man im so mad because my 1 month subscription ended before I even unlock paradox and its classes. Also all the knights and samurai😭😭😭
