Heya! We play with the balancing mod „Better Balanced Game“ which adjusts/changes a lot of the base game civ abilities, Julius Ceasar bonus is getting your strongest researched melee unit when settling a new city, so I got 1 Legion from that and 1 from warrior upgrade I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos, Cheers
Games with early wars are so much more exciting, do you think BBG nerfs early war too much? Most games seem to be peaceful until late game because of fear of irel war
In what sense did they nerf it? Its just not good because early ressources dont get spend for longterm scaling BBG has nothing to do with it. They did nerf the build walls card at some point (so actually encouraging war) but I doubt this is something that will ever be buffed to make it worth it.
@@paul_h1rsmaybe they haven't directly nerfed it but it feels like cpl (especially top players) don't have much early aggression due to fear of being irel. Most videos these days seem to only have wars in late game which never seem as interesting imo.
I agree this is way more fun, I don’t think it’s a BBG issue tho, more the nature of FFA format. In all other game modes early war / or st any stage of the game is totally viable, because there are only 2 „entities“ or teams in those game modes, so your goal is just to be net ahead on 1 team/player, but in FFA you need to get more ressources/stats etc from warring as you would get from free simming instead, because you’re competing with 7-9 other free simmers. BBG already buffed war quite a bit in my opinion with Drums of War golden age, and the reason we don’t see more people warring is also partly that they just don’t know how
Ya I should have done it earlier, when I noticed Joburg though I wasnt gonna build more wonders/buildings , so I put the rest of the envoys in red CS for unit production
Hey! I am new to civ 6 and enjoying your videos. I am wondering how you got that second legion to spawn when you settled the 4th city?

They should boost encampments to make early war not as punishing.
