Super helpful, thanks much. Do you know if you can instantly replay freshly created recorded video, like let say if you doing online sport training and want to replay/edit ?
Great question. Zoom videos do take time to process, and although it’s not an exact science, I’ve found that it can take roughly the amount of time of the raw recording to process, sometimes more or less. (For example, I’d assume a 1 hour recording could take up to an hour to process, but it’s not always that long.)
Hello. Which version of zoom are you using to record yourself and your screenshare? I'm using the latest version and it doesn't seem to have these features.
Great question. Your version of Zoom is likely newer than mine, since this video was recorded over a year ago. All of the features are still possible, but they may have moved slightly. I’d check out Zoom’s help articles for more info.

Thanks for this video. When I record to my computer or the cloud, I only get 1 video option with myself showing. Is there a setting that I need to change?
Great question. The reason is because there’s only one person in the meeting, therefore only one arrangement of the video is possible. If you have 2+ people, then you’ll see both speaker and gallery view because it’ll either alternate to only show the speaker or show a grid (gallery). Team Wit & Wire

Hi there 👋this video has been very helpful! I'm also trying to record content that's shared on screen as well as have the meeting participants visible on the side of the screen. Everytime I do it, it only records what's shared on the screen. Is it possible - or what software would you suggest if you would like to be on a video call and share your screen but show my camera view and another persons camera view on the screen at the same time with a presentation?
Yes, you could host using speaker view, and share your screen. Instead of using the default gallery view, there is an option to allow video panel or hide video panel, which is how you can allow another person's camera view. You can even allow participants to join with or without video when you host a meeting for the first time. We hope this helps, Team Wit & Wire

Yes, that’s called “Speaker View” in Zoom. If you want a side by side, it’s called “Gallery View,” and it’s (currently) only available as an option if you record to the cloud vs. on your device.
I want to record only myself, not anyone else who speaks. I only share audio from my computer. Will Zoom record the iTunes screen from the music? I don't leave it open but open it to start the music.

Hi Melissa, I've been looking for how to share my screen and camera at the same time on Zoom for the longest time now. I happened to have noticed that when you chose to save the video, you saved it online and not on your computer. I tried saving it online and it works, I can see both the camera of myself and the screen share. Great question. When you save to your computer, to my knowledge, Zoom doesn’t give you the option to decide what the video includes or how its formatted. (I might be wrong. It could be worth looking at Preferences or asking their team.) But in my experience, the only way to see options is to use Cloud recording. If you’re on a limited storage plan, you can download them right after the call. I hope that helps.
@@witandwire Thank you for your response. I will look into it. I hadn't tried saving to Zoom cloud before watching your video and didn't realize there was a difference in the settings. If you’re wondering about notes in Zoom (i.e. the chat), none of Zoom’s controls or the chat will appear in any of your recordings. For any other tool, your screen recorder will record exactly what you see onscreen within the rectangle you set for recording. So if there are notes onscreen, you’ll see them. Some tools (like witandwire.com) do offer hidden space to write speaker notes, which don’t appear in the video.

The biggest difference is on the editing side. On the recording side, Loom has more flexibility and options than Zoom, but I could still see it working if you weren’t particular about where the camera feed shows up alongside slides in the recording.

I don’t have record button
Your version of Zoom is likely newer than mine, since this video was recorded over a year ago. All of the features are still possible, but they may have moved slightly. I’d check out Zoom’s help articles for more info.
didnt show me how to show my face and screen at the same time
There is a feature in Zoom that allows you to share your screen with a speaker view. You can learn more about this setting here: support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362153-Sharing-your-screen-or-desktop-on-Zoom

Are you using the desktop version of Zoom or mobile?

It’s desktop version. I shut the computer down and did a restart and update. I really like how you can record the PowerPoint and myself.

Thanks! Lots of great info here. But wish you wouldn't speak so fast.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for the feedback, I recommend adjusting the playback settings to a lower speed.
Kind regards. Hard to follow. You are all over the place.
