Excellent tutorial video! Today I "found" a nail in the roughsawn walnut lumber I was planing. From now on, I'll scan boards with my metal detector before planing them! Anyway, your video was much more informative than DeWalt's instruction manual. Thank you!

I appreciate the feedback! Ouch, having nails in a board that runs through the planer is awful. I have had similar situations occur and it's no fun. Thank you for watching.

After watching 4 other videos that generalized the procedure I was glad I found yours that actually showed the details of how to do it. Thanks

Great video, I followed your instructions, flipped over my dulled blades and it is planing like new.

Awesome video! Now how about one that returns my DeWalt planer back to brand new condition where I had zero snipe. It's driving me bananas. I feel like there's some sort of adjustment that could be made to the rollers perhaps? I have no clue what I'm talking about but just trying to common sense the problem :-)

Thank you, appreciate the feedback. It is possible your infeed table is misaligned. The issue is that I do not believe these tables are adjustable :(. A technique I often use is to pull the board upward as I feed into the machine. This way I am fighting against the downward pressure of the first roller which prevents the board from being pushed down. Not sure if that makes sense. Sometimes I get sniping no matter what I do.
