Solid explanation. It has been 10 years since I use my planer and I’ve just taken it apart and cleaned it so I thought I would watch a video to remind myself how to change blades and tonight was the first time I realized you can remove the top plate for dust collection to change the blades I remember a long time ago changing the blades underneath so this video corrected some silly mistakes of mine thanks so much Jim in Whitby Ontario Canada

You don’t have to take the blade guard off. Leave the two outside bolts in place and loose then slide in/out your new blade.
