- ROCO's In Concert series continued on November 17, 2018 at The Church of St. John the Divine, with the all-female-composer program “Queen of Hearts”, led by ROCO favorite Mei-Ann Chen.
The program included the world premiere of Solitaire by Heather Schmidt, Louise Farrenc's Symphony No. 3, and Ruth Gipps' Seascape, for double wind quintet.

Heard this on Las Vegas Public Radio passing through 3 weeks ago. New to me, adding to my composers of note.
Neglected indeed - I had never heard of Ruth Gipps (adapted by Malcolm Arnold on Last Night Of The Proms) but fortunately the Music Encyclopaedia we own is very forthcoming. Sea Nymph Knight In Armour and Death on A Pale Horse. Charlock and Brocade. RIP Ruth Gipps.
