Available instruments include at least 3 excellent pianos including one of the best Steinway's D Grand's we've heard.

@RussCottier visited School Farm to record a tour around the studios and sit down with engineer Stefano Civetta and owner Andrew Sunnucks to chat about why they undertook such an ambitious project - did their history of regularly booking some of the biggest studios in the World shape their thinking (and equipment choices)?
Some of the instruments available include: Steinway Model D Grand Piano, Yamaha Upright Piano, Hammond C3 and Leslie Amp, Drums, Fender Acoustisonic Guitar, Theremin and a collection of percussion instruments.
The studio live room has 4 booths, built in an expansive and converted 17th Century barn which has been placed inside nearly a metre of acoustic treatment on the outside walls and roof leaving the original timbers and finishes exposed inside. The main recording room has a very high ceiling, a well controlled acoustic and a big window offering views over a beautifully landscaped lake.
The recording equipment is top level featuring a massive range of microphones, SSL Duality console, full Dolby ATMOS and so much more - this is a recording studio tour that we think must place this in the top 3 residential studios in Europe.
The control room features ATC monitors with full 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos mix utility. As an alternative to the onboard preamps there's 26 channels of Neve pre’s, 12 Montserrat, 12 1081s and 2 1081s with 4 Band EQ and 8 Millennia and 1 Chandler REDD.47. High end DAD converters take care of conversion.
Desk - SSL Duality Fuse 48ch, equipped with SSL δelta control and Fusion colouration processor.

Interesting layout and design and Sonic characteristics from what I can see and from the control room, to the iso booths and then, of course, the main soundstage area - then there's the baffling between the exposed beams depending upon how dense it is, sure looks like it can knock out a whole lot of crazy annoying sonic anomalies and give a clean environment to record, it looks like a very cozy place to rehearse and lay down some tracks… I'm a Southern California-based music producer, who has been blessed to have learned studio design from one of the engineers who back-in-the-day designed rooms like the Record Plant up near Sausalito California, he taught me everything I needed to know about how to put a room together, control room ratio math to proper floor floating, the whole nine - I've designed a few including my own in LA, ended up selling my own a number of years ago but, as for this room - what a really nice layout… and it's private, you can't get better than getting it knocked out on 300+ acres of tranquility.

What a wonderful location and the studio is beautiful!
I noticed the Vari Mu has no space above it in the rack and as an owner of several Manley pieces, I highly recommend they find a solution for that as the amount of heat it generates with nowhere to go will most certainly lead to problems.

Hi, can anyone tell me the name/model of the ATC center speaker that sits above the screen? I've not seen an ATC model like that anywhere before. Is it perhaps a custom built one?
I think it’s the centre version of their 45 but will ask and correct if I’m wrong 😊
