  • Ćevapčići are somewhat of a national dish for many south-eastern European countries. Variations on the minced-meat dish can also be found in many parts of Asia. This episode of 20 Minute Meals is dedicated to these delicious, caseless sausages - DW Food chef Felicitas Then shows you how to whip up the classic in under twenty minutes.

    Black pepper, freshly ground

I like the fact that a 20 minutes recipe takes only 5 min to find out how to make.

One day a Croatian serb from Chicago told me:
    "Stay hungry, stay Cevapcici"
That's what pushed me to open my first restaurant. Now I own 7 restaurants across 6 states.
    All thanks to you Dejan

If you add a pinch of baking soda and a splash of soda water they will be fluffy and light. That’s how my Romanian mother taught me.

Please correct your title.they have nothing to do with kebab.we 're not turkish and we also don't use the term balkans for south slavic countries.they're usually done with pork but can be done with other types of meat.also we usually call them ćevapi not ćevapćići which is the dimunitive.

"ćevapi" is just a mangled turkish word "kebap", and the thing itself is a direct descendant of kebap
balkan cuisine in general is mostly just a somewhat adapted turkish stuff
p.s. i'm not turkish or muslim, i just don't like it when people try to deny the obvious because of political reasons

Great video. 👍 It would taste even better if it was Beef, lamb and Pork equally. You need the fat in the pork to make the 🌍 go round. 😁

Sorry but this have nothing to do with original Cebap or Cevapcici as you call the dish. Thay are delicious for shore but ... To taste the best Cevapcici you have to eat in Sarajevo Cevap or Banjalucki Cevap and ofcrs in Kosovo.
