@@MyKeeP81Hey have you been hit up by a guy claiming to be J and Amber? I just was. Now his comment has been deleted ! But i took screen shot of this bozo
It's hard to put into words how HUUUUGE this album was. Came out when I was about 13. When an ex friend of mine stole my cassette, I saved up my money to buy another copy. THAT'S how big it was... you just HAD to have a copy!😀
In case you don't know Huey Lewis was one of many artists who sang on the song/video "We Are The World". He also appeared in the movie "Back To The Future" as the teacher/ judge with the bullhorn who told Marty Mcfly that his band was "just too darn loud". The song "Power Of Love" from the movie also is Huey Lewis.
I graduated in 1986. I was very blessed and fortunate to experience in my prime what I believe was the last great decade this Country may ever see and I had a Blast. The music, the hair styles, the clothes..... the Happiness. A better world..... With better people living in it.
Growing up in the ‘80’s was incredible. We used to sit and listen to the radio with our finger waiting to hit record on our cassette recorders so we could make mix tapes.
I fly in and out of Chicago O’Hare ALL OF THE TIME. I was standing at a Starbucks kiosk one day when I heard a VERY familiar voice. I turn around to find Huey chatting with a friend. Gotta say… he was as charming and cordial as you would think.
One of my favorites from HS back in the 80s. He sang a really sultry duet with Gwyneth Paltrow called "Cruisin'", and old Smokey Robinson song. It's surprisingly very good!
Absolutely one of the best bands of the 1980's. They came to perform at Six Flags over Texas when I was a Freshman in high school in 1984. I had a HUGE crush on his guitarist Chris. It was a great show!! Y'all are spot on when you suggest Huey Lewis was considered a ladies' man. He was indeed. Excellent reaction!!
Another song from this album that's played at a fever pitch and also shows off Huey's harmonica skills is "Workin' for a Living." Another song reaction should be done for "Hip to Be Square" with the video a textbook example of the term "extreme closeup"
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You... finally somone played this song. 1983 I was 25 back then. Heart & Soul, was my introduction to Huey Lewis and the News. When I pulled into a truck stop, and there was a Juke Box, in went the quarter, and I just sat back with a nice hot coffee and realxed listening to this song. Lots of memories from my youth. Glad you liked it.. Thanks once again, and have Happy and Prosperous New Year 2023 from my family to yours...
Ignore those that tell you what are good versus bad bands, it's what you like that counts. Huey Lewis and the News is an upbeat fun group that just makes you smile. Happy New Year!
Huey Lewis did a song with Gwyneth Paltrow for a movie they starred in playing a father and daughter. It's called "Cruisin'". It's really good and more mellow. Their voices sound great together.
Whoa this brought me back to high school! My first concert and one of my favorite albums! ‘Sports’ was an album you could listen to front to back. My first concert ever and saw him about four years ago and still just as good!
Good eighties song. Stay in the 80s as the New Year comes. Y’all should react to Rush “Time Stand Still “. As a 62 yr old man this song makes you wish time would stand still. As young parents PLEASE PLEASE enjoy your children because you will wish that time would stand still sometimes. Lots of Love to y’all and keep it up in the New Year 🎉🎉🎉
I always forget just how freaking good Huey and his crew are/were. It’s kind of amazing they were one of the biggest bands of the ‘80s, yet they’re almost an afterthought these days. But man. So many bangers.
Great song! You should really react to their 1986 Hit 'Hip To Be Square'. It's such a fun song! But you really should watch the Official Video, it just amplifies the awesome vibe of the song. A true Banger! The song is also featured in the 2000 movie 'American Psycho' (a movie you need to check out), in a hilarious (and famous) scene. And it even has an awesome sax solo just for you Amber!
You do need to have a listen to Whole Lotta Lovin', Hip To Be Square, I Know What I Like, Doing It All For My Baby & Stuck With You. All of these from their album Fore!
This is a fun pop song. It has interesting instrument 🎸 arrangements that are unique and rare in their use. It's just gobs of fun to listen and move to.
Every time I hear this song and especially see the video it takes me right back to my 20’s in the fun 80’s! Miss those times! And Amber, I would love for you to have your mom on one day so we can meet her, I can tell she was glad to have experienced the 80’s like we are!
I saw them in concert back in the 80s and they exuded the same fun personas on stage as they do in their videos. I actually got to see them when Tower of Power horn section played with them... awesome time! Looking forward to more.
All right my babies....I can certainly kick myself in the can for not being able to see this band ❗ They we're in heavy rotation on the radio waves during the 80s because of their magnificent sound. Huey Lewis and the News could be a definition of a straight up undiluted rock and roll band ‼️🔥💯🎼🎶😎👍🏼
Love y'all's videos!!! Music that I grew up to and y'all love it! Music is such a uniting medium and I love that is shows no boundaries to race, creed, gender or whatever. GREAT JOB and so happy that you guys do what you do!! I feel 12 years old again every time I hear this song, or any Huey Lewis song.
I was lucky to see them live in Milan on October 31, 1988 and at a big 3-day concert again in Milan in 1994. In 1988 at the Palatrussardi, I was already inside while they were setting up the stage, I attended the soundcheck and Huey Lewis, Mario Cipollina and Sean Hopper came to me and my girlfriend for autographs and photos.. one of the most beautiful and energetic concerts I have ever seen.
I wish you guys knew what it was like growing up in the 80's, it was amazing seeing all these bands come out with their music. This is when all the different styles came out. Here's one for Amber, Little River Band, Lady. Gotta love it!!
The 80s we're aweeeee some ❤❤
What an album sports is. Every track is a winner and so is Huey and the band.🤟👍
I have it on vinyl and cd this album is the best
Congratulations I have something for you , DM me via the platform above.....🔝🔝🔝
I played the heck out of that CD.
My very first concert was Huey Lewis back in 1985! This song was one of my favorites. Still makes me feel good to this day.
Had the album but now I can't think of it without thinking of American Psycho.
You can’t go wrong with Huey Lewis and the News!

That is true only if you like things that SUCK.

Huey Lewis and the News were the epic party band of the 80's.

Yeah, this album was a banger. Everyone was jumping to Sports songs the summer this came out.
Yeah, except nobody ever said “epic” in the 80s
It’s hard to explain how huge Huey Lewis and the News were in the early 80s. It’s actually disconcerting that their music seems to have disappeared.
Especially here in the sf Bay Area
That's for sure!
They were still selling out shows until Huey lost his hearing
Hey guys have you been hit up by a guy claiming to be J and Amber??

One of the best concerts I've been to was Huey Lewis & the News opening for Loverboy in 1982....great show
Huey Lewis is a wonderful combination of eighties rock with a lot of doo wop influences woven underneath. Love when you guys react to this band!
I used to go out dancing back then! It was a fun time and the music was fantastic!
I love Huey Lewis and the News. I also like listening to interviews with Huey because he is a very intelligent man.
You guys would of loved the 80's! My teenage years were the best of my life!! All the back yard parties back then, had a BLAST!!
My favourite from this great band
In case you don't know Huey Lewis was one of many artists who sang on the song/video "We Are The World". Don't forget the movie "Duets". He got a lot more screen time in that movie.
Sadly ironic that he says Marty's band's music is too loud, and Huey years later loses his hearing.

One of the most 80s songs ever. Just a huge classic. :)
my fave Huey Lewis song! ♥
Thank you for the little sentiments at the end of the video. Hope you and your family is blessed too in 2023.
They had the HITS 👍👍👍

Met him twice. Once at a gas station and once in traffic back in my home town in the sf Bay Area where he lived
What an awesome band they were! The 80's was the greatest period for pop music!
Congratulations I have something for you , DM me via the platform above....🔝🔝🔝
Yeah guys the whole band The musicianship is excellent everyone is outstanding and Huey is very good on the harmonica

This is my favorite Huey Lewis and the News song. Quintessential 80's group. Glad to see your reaction.

Working For a Living is from Picture This, Heart and Soul is from Sports

Man the 80s were a BLAST!! We used to cruise with friends and have this song cranked up!
I was a top 40 jock back in '83 after getting out of the army, you couldn't go 20 minutes without hearing something from Huey Lewis...Rock ON!!
They have a LOT of Great songs

My favorite Huey Lewis song, a quintessential 80s song! 💪💪
Love your background wall art. Thanks for the memories hehe
Huey Lewis and The News are one of the most underrated 80s bands!
Such a perfectly crafted song. One of their best.
This song was actually written by the Country music group Exile . They also recorded it but Huey had the big hit with it.
A lot of people say Huey Lewis and the news are boring, I don't go with that. Love this song.
I love the band
Ignore those that tell you what are good versus bad bands, it's what you like that counts. Huey Lewis and the News is an upbeat fun group that just makes you smile. Happy New Year!
I've never heard that. Either way, I've always loved them. ❤️
They are the opposite of boring. Love these dudes.
Really? I’ve only ever heard good things about them.
Another great song by Huey and The News.
Love this song, also another song is Hip to be Square, a few San Francisco 49ers help sing backup on it ,fun song.
Huey Lewis did a song with Gwyneth Paltrow for a movie they starred in playing a father and daughter. It's called "Cruisin'". It's really good and more mellow. Their voices sound great together.
Smokey Robinson song and they did it justice.
I love the whole movie.
His voice plus the effects chain on the guitar make the song meaty in a really good way.
That bass man!!! In the beginning and through the all song!! It has to be said! Really good song!
Whoa this brought me back to high school! My first concert and one of my favorite albums! ‘Sports’ was an album you could listen to front to back. My first concert ever and saw him about four years ago and still just as good!
Huie and his band of aging players went out with a great bang!
My mom always had a crush on Huey Lewis lol
Huey is timeless! This is one of my favorite songs of theirs!
These guys do a great live show! So much fun!

Good eighties song.

These guys put on a full concert, and then went to a local bar and partied on with the band there. Another great show.
🎹🎹🎹 🎸🎸
My alltime favourite band and my favourite song as well
The only real Rock and Roll band in the 80s. All the rest are Rock bands. Huey's roots in Rock and Roll come through in every song.
My favorite Huey Lewis and the News song. I couldn't get enough of this song or video when I was a kid.
That chorus comes in hard!
Man this song takes me right back to my childhood in the 80’s. Huey Lewis and the News playing on the radio on a warm summer night. Such a vibe.
Great vocalist, great band, great pop rock song.
Huey Lewis and the News played for the fans and like you said everyone is smiling and dancing a really class act group.
They had many great songs and this is one of their best!
Seen them in concert and they were great. The energy they gave, the fun and the sound was just like their videos. Huey also had that natural charisma.
I always forget just how freaking good Huey and his crew are/were. It’s kind of amazing they were one of the biggest bands of the ‘80s, yet they’re almost an afterthought these days. But man. So many bangers.

My favorite Huey Lewis and the News song! I have this album on vinyl. It's so good.
Love this song. One of my faves for sure.
You've only scratched the surface of the phenomenal Huey Lewis sound
Great band in the day. They seemed like they were just having fun, loads of it. And we were more than happy to have fun with them. Dance club music.
Great bass line and a cowbell are the underpinning of MANY great rock songs!

Huey Lewis and The News, definitely music you can dance to.
One of those bands that sounded live just like the studio versions. Saw them back in the day.
GREAT GROUP. LOVED THEIR MUSIC
Huey was a very good musician. Creative and smart.

Wife here...Looooved this band in the 80s!!..Easily one of the greatest Pop Rock bands ever!!
You should check out WORKIN' FOR A LIVIN'. Huey really rocks out on that one. 🔥🔥
Arguably one of the best produced albums. Everything sounds clean, and they cover the frequency spectrum nicely.
Huey Lewis has some of the best Music videos and cool songs ~
This was always my favorite Huey Lewis & the News song, so fun!! He was an incredibly smart person. Scored perfectly on the Math portion of the SATs!

Huey Lewis and the News -- one of my favorite 80s bands. Such great vocals and musicality!
My absolute favourite Huey Lewis song, love the guitar over the chorus, thanks guys
Great song written and introduced by the Band Exile. Huey took it up a notch.
One of their BEST songs!
