As well as being apathetic to the victims as if they deserved it. I get what you're trying to say too which I say: If it's propaganda why even watch it and criticize it? Do you except a film to show every perspective to the viewer and make them understand? Name me one film where they make both sides look human from 1900-Present. I've watched countless the "Good" and the "Bad" film from different countries and it's not only Hollywood that does this. Films from Spain, Russia, China, Vietnam, Malaysia, and India all shows how one side is good and the other bad (Unless it's German WW2 films) cause it allows the viewer to understand the conflict. Do you expect movie goers to have done research before watching the film especially if they're in the younger generation? Historical Films allow one to have the foundation/basic information about an even and it's for them to go down that rabbit hole. For you to say it's propaganda and shouldn't be watch is restricting people to history and more importantly context. The film (at least from the trailer) is a journalist perspective (American sports broadcasting crew) and is the most neutral and outside way of telling a story as they are not involve but instead are broadcasting the events going down. This movie was developed way before October 7th.
If i say a propaganda movie, many will say, nope that's history, you hate isrl, you're a prokhms, bla bla bla !
But 5/9 is the same events that always repeating itself...oppressed people asking for a land, a nation, a free state, massacred, pushed to the limits. Innocents on both sides are the victims...that's unbearable! Juste look at the news ppl. Plz.
So, I say this is a Propaganda movie.
You are correct ....
I think it's easier to tell a neutral story of these events from this perspective.
Cool whataboutisn. Sure call this propaganda just like how WW2 is Western Propaganda against Germany.
What are you talkin about ? I'm talking about the treatment of history through the prism of "Hollywood" which has always designated the "Good" and "the bad" with a view always from one side...the Indians, Mexicans, Vietnamese, Russians, Afghans and of course the classic that never goes out of fashion, Arabs and Muslims (which one may not be the other, but few Westerners make the difference) Beau Gest, Lawrence of Arabia, Green Berets, All countless "one US hero against many villain hideous Arabs"...or the films where we are supposed to feel sorry for the sirt of the American who goes to another country, massacre natives and comes back with an existential malaise..."Deer Hunter", "Local Hero", "Rambo", "American Sniper"...honestly wtf?!?! even Spielberg tried to treat the subject by being "humanist" but it is always biased by an Americanism that we can call "idiotic" from the view of the world in which reality is perhaps complex for some while it is very simple...live and let live, respect, humanism.

@@dghazd5862 The way you structure your comment makes it look like you hypercriticize history and film as a whole as propaganda and the way you said it makes it sound like you would even criticize WW2 Films (both old and new) as propaganda as to show the Germans and the Japanese as being bad when in reality they are misunderstood.
To say it's propaganda is to directly say the viewers are wrong and as such history is wrong.
Bad timing.
There were a few positive things to come out if this tragedy. Here in America the FBI created HRT, hoatage resacue, police departments created SWAT Teams, hostage negotiatiors get trained & in Germany the Federal Police create GSG 9
Yes, because these people have money. If they were anybody else, nothing would have changed
