Fuzz Brain makes good use of the poker cards to sink items into the earth as they have such a tiny footprint and profile they basically remain unoticable, Thank you for the clear guide to the foundation sinking ( the onlty method I consistently stuggle with).

Nice one. A merging guide into existing structures would be nice too. For example there are lots of pretty clean buildings without clutter where one can set camp. Some of them have metal beds without mattresses thus merging into them a sleeping bag or a mattress gives those place more life. I'm also looking for a way to sink those huge water purifier under water to give awesome views to those lakeside camps. I've heard that Rad_Nux found a way using those pressure plates in the water then putting the purifiers on top of them but I never got it working 😞

Great video. I would love another one along these lines. I would really like to know what items other people are merging together. The barrels that came from the Pitt are one of my favorite things. I merge everything into those things. Plants, lights, etc.

I think you missed one method that allows for very tight merging, placing an item on an other, and destroying it. Then simply add any more items you want together, and at the end, repair all.
Is there a button i hold to foundation sink in small intervals? Ive only been able to sink a good amount at a time to the point its inside the foundation
So true...specially when more than half of the items in the atom shop are building items so it would make sense that they would wanna just removed all the stupid code related to item collision and what not 🙄
Flamethrower is still as effective as ever and it does work in certain circumstances. For example you can still hide generators in some items just by using the flamethrower
Has this been patched? I am on Xbox and the plate is not depressed unless I stand on it. When I try and pick up the item on top of it and place it again it says “Cannot place this item, it intersects with an existing item.”
It's been giving me issues as well. I was trying to make a spiral staircase with benches, same issue with the pressure plate not activating. I got a few things to lower a few times
I've found that I had to stand on the pressure plate to keep it depressed, then I use free cam mode while building to pick up and place the items I'm trying to merge, it can finicky sometimes but it can be done, I'm playing on pc and in the last 5 mins I just merged a bunch of stuff to make a kitchen for my mansion prefab.
It just doesn't stay depressed after stepping on it. step on it to depress. Select and Grab items as you take a step back and place them on the plate before it goes back up. The plate goes up. Select items and move them off again as you step forward back onto plate and repeat 😊 it's a slow process but it works. If you accidently select one of the items and not the whole set of what you're merging it will reset itself. Make sure you grab the bottom of what you're merging and not the top item when moving things.

So does the Flame Trap still work for merges? I didn’t hear you mention it and I’m not sure if they patched it out.

I used the flame trap last week while building a camp. I can can confirm that it still works. I use it a lot for complicated roofs.
