Thanks very much! I got this to work last night on PC with the standard large torn rug and no additional players/no nukes. Took a bit of server hopping to find a buggy server but took only a few tries once I noticed server was lagging and raced back to my camp to give it a go.
WORKS after the new map expansion update. However, placing the medallion a dozen times or so took me several hours. Very happy with the floating build I've gotten. Thank you!

Once you start from you first semi permanent object a you only need a teammate to stack carpets. Also I was not able to remove the blueprinted floors but are necessary because on the third tier of my climbing i was not able to use non blue printed uppers but on the next gain it was not a problem. All in all works well currently trying to get as close to as possible to the eviction notice event location to see what is possible. Thank you for this video can't wait to see part 2

This game's building and mechanics are so janky people have to resort to bugging the game out and figuring out quirks to actually build cool builds vs them just creating a good build system in the first place. Pretty frustrating. Very clever work from the community!
Got everything to work! I found that if you're on pc using a macro is a lot easier, and it doesn't require another person. Can't wait for that next tutorial!

So, you gave me this idea. If you know what jitterclicking is, you can just do that if you don't want to use a macro.
Doing this right now June 2023 and its worked great so far only change I made is putting the Enclave disc on a power conduit (like a record on a needle) and spinning it while spamming X is way easier than dragging.
Also Ive been doing it completely solo on public servers that are very active and it does work just takes longer

I have found a way to build high without nukes.
Build 10-15 emblems on top of each other and you will find that you create a server lag yourself. If it doesn't work build another 10-15 emblems on top of the others. Now it work for me very Good and Really fast :)
Any idea when part 2 & 3 will be out? Going to use these guides to build in a few places as I have like 0 talent
It's much more easier to start a macroscrip that will be pressing the button for you coz at a certain speed limit the game can't take it and it will create the world object. I usually use a tinker workbench I put my camp system on it it will sink then I place a vault door in it and from normal rugs you can built another platform to rinse repeat. That's how I have my spaceshit avt 250 meters high for 2 years by now
:) and basically there is one simple rule when you building in the air: when you place a floor or stairs, that's that. It's glued.
Blueprint everything down there Ike all kinds of walls and up you go. :)
That does sound easier! You play on PC? Not sure it would be an option for us on console! There’s definitely multiple ways of doing this though, I know a couple of other builders do it completely differently! That sounds awesome though - love a Spaceship camp!

2024 - June - this all still works. Blue brahmin and ducks struggle to fit but if you try another plushy or floor toy in the same way shown in video it works.
Medallion trick to grow higher works also but it needs patience took me a few hours to get this right as at times it wont let you place the module on the floating medallion and say “needs support” jump server and try again it works
Is it possible to build inside the unfinished mansions?

Thanks very much! Okay so we don't think so currently. Not in adventure mode anyway. You can get pretty close using this method but the bubble radius blocking you from building at an existing location will stop you attaching anything directly to the mansions. Appreciate you subbing and checking the video!

Do you have to blueprint all of the pieces you want to use once you're actually where you want to be? Because we tried this but then it wouldn't let us use any flooring other than the pieces that were blue printed.
Exactly right. Every floor you want to use at the final location has to be blueprints.
I use a blueprint floor and still can’t dismantle or store it is there a work around or do they just stay

This still works, but for some reason, you can no longer adjust placement of the stuffed animal pole blueprint. I just went from being able to make small movement to this blueprint yesterday, to not being able to do it today July 25th 2023.

Just did it by myself with "2 Playstation" , If you do it like me use your PS4 not your PS5 you have a better chance of glitch out the rug (Took me 4-1/2 hours).

Can't get post to place on camp module any suggestions
When I get my floating camp on the semi-perm it won’t allow me to place my pillar even when it goes blue, do I need to try and remake the pillar with a different animal or a different placement?
A different floor decor item could help though sometimes rotating the blueprint on top of your camp module will allow it to place as well.
I did this last night, using the lag switch app... I managed to get a floating platform at least
Seems they fixed this. I did another base about a year ago, but now it seems nothing will copy and snapping onto the small object seems fixed

My only question is once you build your camp and log off will it still spawn in the sky when logging back on?
Yes! We will go through the camp building process in more detail in part 2. Because you will need to be careful about where you camp module is in the finished camp - especially that it's over something you can land on. Some times if done incorrectly you will spawn falling instead of on the sky camp!
If i dont have the plans for the enclave medallion can i substitute it with something else?
Yes! Any rug will do and probably many other objects as well including prefabs but the rugs are my personal preference. You can glitch alot of them and not worry about overlapping or obstructing you build space.

Any idea on how to place a upper floor in the sky, without a staircase. Looking to do a build in the sky, just without the staircase.
I second this! Been watching videos and trying new blueprints, but I can’t find anything that works. Only thing “similar” is using the floating wall and catwalk blueprint and using the roof as the floor, but it’s clunky for continuing the build process.

Did it work as i have tried today and seems the lagged matts are no longer solid. You can use a large prefab instead of matt like the container fortress and it works solid but refuses to place the camp module ontop

What's it mean if it says "item needs support" (it's blue but still won't place) when I try to place the post on the camp? I'm using a trog plushie.
Maybe try using a duck or a ship in a bottle, sometimes the plushies act up.

Tips for finding/creating enough lag for a semipermanent object? I’ve been trying for literal months with no luck. I play solo, so no friends to stack rugs lol
Mole rat generators spinning in view or a few flamethrower traps wired together with power. When they break that should cause some local lag. Combine that with a nuke in the session, join a full public team and it should work solo for you.
if you make a macro for spamming E the semi-permanent object will show up way quicker

Place your camp again! The last step will be covered in part 2 - in general just avoid using stairs or actual floors once you have reached the location you want to build the camp. As you won't be able to remove these without replacing your camp again.

I'm torn at seeing this video. Bethesda makes builder's lives HELL trying to stop builds like this. Seeing them fail to stop the floating is hilarious.
I wish they'd give up and just let us build. Shit builders are going to build shit regardless of how hard it is to do. If anything, making the camp building system unwieldy just encourages people to give up and throw stuff down haphazardly.
And for what it's worth - floating builds carefully done to look like spaceships - I'm cool with that. When I say shit build I'm taking floating stuff with no effort made to show why. And it's ridiculously easy to do, just connect foundations, first one on a slope then walk them out into thin air. Hell, you can do it accidentally when you're lazy.
I managed to get to the semi permanent object placed on PC after moving the medallion. As soon as I move the camp like you did to only stand on the floating medallion, I kept getting force reset by the game. And fast travel to camp only spawns me on the ground. I can't move at all standing on the floating medallion. Did I do something incorrect? The step after moving camp to the edge of floating medal. I wasn't able to move, like you were in the video. Gonna have to practice it a few more times

Ah so what is what I was missing. I gave up on building the floating camp until I saw this notification a month later LOL
I'm having the same issue. I was able to get back onto the first medallion by building back up but now the second one pushed me off too and it's too far away to build on the ground.
How can I stop the medallion from pushing my character off? I move my camp onto it and attempt to place the post, but I get pushed off before I can place it and jump onto it.
Keeps saying camp needs support. I cannot place on the semi permanent object and i teleport off of the semi permanent item too when i stand on it. Please help
The camp module needs to be on the semi permanent rug over a blueprinted floor for some odd reason.
This doesn’t work on console - the column won’t snap back on when plushie is there… 😒
This is done on console. Keep trying, there is a sweet spot. If it gives you trouble still a decoy duck or ship in a bottle will also work.

@@thegoofballgamer92 honestly it’s like he said in the video, you just gotta persist and keep picking it up and placing again. It took me about 40 minutes solo without anyone helping to lag the area.

how to spawn there without falling?
Make sure to have your module in a safe place while building. If you stack the stairs have it on the second or third level. With platforms below you when you load you don't fall!
I tried this for a few hours the other day. Had a friend launching nukes another placing rugs and after the medal rug appeared it was semi-permanent but I couldn’t stand on it, it was just a ghost image.
Does work on Xbox, I just did it. No nukes have to be launched. Just doing the rug is good enough but he says build 4 high you can only do 3. 4 high the glitch does not work. Also if you remember to use contractor it costs no mats to do it.

It'll work 4 high but it just depends where the column is placed and how the stairs are attached. I'm glad you got it working though!
Yeah I built a capn cosmos ship right outside the air force base the super mutants took over this was for the Alien event that happened awhile back I left the ship there but every once in awhile when I do play I’m amazed I built it I also have a treehouse before they actually gave us a treehouse next to mama dolce foods

I can get medallion to copy but when I stand o it I fall straight through it. Which also doesn't allow me to put camp o it. Maybe patched?
Sometimes that happens. Best thing to do is try glitching it again till you get a solid one.

This must of been patched because i cant even get the first blueprint accomplished. The part where you are doing the plushie wont work for me. I've tried for around 30 minutes trying to get that plushie and other floori decor like you said but nothing will super impose like what you did in your video

There seems to be no more lag. I've been using the medallion and a rug over and over and neither will duplicate. Anyone else have this problem? Is it something Bethesda changed in the update?
