It's one of those places no matter how much we complain about the weather the hills the midges, those views make it all worthwhile and will never be found anywhere else on the planet.

Amazing video. I used to climb all over Scotland before a back operation 5 years ago, i live 2 hours from Glen Coe so its handy. I've taken up photography and discovered a passion for it, I really wish I had when I used to climb, would have had some amazing shots. Got some phone shots from the top, not the same though. Thanks for that, and great tips and information too. Cheers :)

Amazing mountain peaks! Beautiful scenery!
Did exactly the same thing a couple of years ago and it was just epic to watch the colours change over the Buachaille on a snowy February morning. Still my favourite landscape photography memory. Love it. Glad to find another West Highland Way veteran as well mate. It's a fantastic hike. 👍

Yes ! .... I knew you were coming to Scotland . Fantastic shots . I was up there in November and got some brill photos. You are spoiled for choice in that area and could spend days exploring the landscape. loved the panoramic images again . If like me , I bet you were buzzing after leaving that 'special' place . Great video Henry! Understand the effort and frustrations that go into achieving that in Scotland, as the light/rain/cloud changes by the second! We have a saying here, ... "if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes." What I love is that your content is not about gear and settings - it's all about the practicalities of getting a shot. What people really need to learn, instead of obsessing about kit.

Great video Henry, I always say it, really admire your enthusiasm and I think it's paid off, you have me looking for Scottish cottage rentals, there's only so much of Dartmoor I can photograph.
Ah thanks a lot mate!! Yes there’s something about a cottage rental for a few nights that definitely appeals. More comfortable than the car anyway haha

I wouldn’t say I necessarily plan specifically. I gradually seem to build up a repertoire of locations I’d like to visit. I’d definitely recommend the Torridon area mate. I stayed near Loch Maree in a town called Gairloch
The closing section using the drone circling around you was top notch. Bet it was chilly in the car overnight though. Have thought about doing that myself but suspect it would be too cold.

I've been there , I'm from Manchester and I've been to a lot of countries but Scotland is something special. It's bite your knuckles gorgeous. Saying that, the towns are not pretty but the people are friendly.
There are lots of pretty towns in Scotland you just need to know where to go.

I have watched you for a while now and do not believe I have ever seen you do a landscape shot directly from ground level. Is this something you would consider as the angle can be quite amazing in the right circumstances?

Wow! What a set of images, so worth the long hike. I’ve been watching your vlogs since NZ and your photography just keeps getting better and better. We passed through Glencoe on our way to Skye a couple of years ago definitely a place I’d like to go back to. If you get a chance go to Skye, the scenery there is also magical. Just watch out for the peat bogs as I managed to fall into one!

Great technique! My parents recently moved from Newcastle to Buckie (near Inverness) so I’m up there quite a bit. The coastline is amazing! I’m there again in April for 2 or 3 nights but while I’m there I’m nipping over to Skye for the day. A bit of a scouting mission for a longer stay in June 😄
