Sounds good. I have a fbo j32 myself. Having HalferLand parts thrown on it as we speak. They specialize in j series motors. Had j35 mani, runners, and tb P&P. Almost purchased a lightweight pulley Current set up is CAI with full exhaust. I’m hoping that it leans out a bit. Have no tuning support for my 06’ TL auto. It’ll probably still be slow but jseries are good daily’s. Interstate economy is nice and the power is still there if needed. Obviously none of the J FAMILY motors when NA could be considered fast by any stretch of the imagination. BUT sounds pretty good and looks snappy.

We both hit 142 side by side until I backed off because the right side of the road was too bumpy for me at that speed but boy that was fun. I have a 05 Tsx now 😎

You have to swap to an 07-08 ecu, which will require an adapter harness and some minor wiring. Fastline used to make one, there's another company making one now, but I cant recall their name. Starts with a "B" though.
I'm considering a custom 3" exhaust or the endlessrpm exhaust. Would it be fair to say the custom 3-inch would give me a more deep gurgly V8 sound compared to the endlessrpm 2 and 1/2 inch? I just don't want any cabin drone. I plan on running some brand J pipe with precat deletes, but keeping the stock third cat

Is that something you can speak to? From How it was being described to me it sounds like this was just an aesthetic thing but people didn't like the way it looked so they stop doing it.
I have a JDM piggy back tuner, which most ppl think are bs, that advances ignition. One of the Only functional ODB2 tuners for My car. Probably gave me 12 to the crank. I need an e92 m3 . VTech is like VANOS slower cousin. Guess that’s why they cost twice as much

Hondata Flashpro but if you have an 04-06 you need an 07-08 ECU and only will work if you have a manual. The 07-08 ecu won’t control the 04-06 auto tranny

They all play a part in making it sound so unique other than the EGR delete and coilovers tho hahah. But I’m gonna give most of the credit to the K-Tuned Muffler, Vibrant Resonator and 3” single exit. Makes for an extremely pure sound

@@HeckyReckyOfficialu can also put the j35 magnesium manifold on to replace the j32 aluminum manifold which heat soaks way more, and you’ll get more power out of the j35 magnesium manifold too, since it’s slightly bigger than the j32 manifold, not an enormous difference in size but the difference is there and it’s enough
You know how our ears are an "erogenous zone?". Well this isnt even close to doing it for me. However, about 5-6 years ago I built an Mk4 GTI and swapped over a mk4 NA vr6 with a full magnaflow header back exhaust with a custom designed CAI and k&n filter with velocity bell. You'll never hear a better sounding 6 cylinder. I say 6 cylinder because it's neither a V6 or inline 6. It's a flathead, staggered 6 cylinder at I believe an internal 15° or 16° v. Aside from a k20 head/k24 block build, the 2.8 vr6 is my other favorite engine. Both are equal to me in terms of sentimentality. When it comes to reliability and Mk4 2.0l vw is another bulletproof engine. Japan and Germany know their shit all day every day.

J series engines can be made fast NA they just need to be tuned

Yes go with a custom 3”. It will be half the price and sound way deeper and give more power

Well yeah it will kink a little bit but so will any custom exhaust made with crush bends. No problem on my civic or the TL in the video

Not bad at all, it’s a lot quieter in person than in the video since the mic was outside of the car in every clip
