    actually this presentation in spite of its short and compact form is one of the best explanations of normal ECG formation that I've found in months! good job guys

    At ~5:50, how come you're considering the return to the isoelectric line as consequent of atrial repolarization? Shouldn't atrial repolarization occur simultaneously with ventricular depolarization (QRS complex)?

      Yeah. The curve returns to baseline not because the atria repolarise, but because the depolarisation has spread throughout the whole atria - i.e. the entirety of atria are again at the same potential. This leads to no difference between the potentials recorded by each lead, thus leading to the flatlining.

      ⁠​⁠@@susmitislam1910 but if the whole atria is predominantly negative wouldn’t the ECG perceive a raise on potential difference in contrast to the predominantly positive vetricules? I see Guyton explains the ST segment by this logic but I can’t find it for the PR segment.

    Nice presentation and great accent (especially the girl). Some call it mean electric vector and some say dipole moment. It confuses the hell out of people who are not well versed with physics.
