I saw the reviews for the numark 4 trak and I feel its just a traktor version of the ns 6 with 2 pounds more of weight.at the same price.I would however consider the mc 6000 but a good dj needs to grow and virtual dj has been good to me, no regrets. thnks for the input blaze !!!
i definately need it to work without a computer. I would use Ipod, flash drive, computer, and possibly cds for playing.

Of course it is! Porter Robinson and Zedd is a few examples of artists that use the Traktor controller in proffesional clubs.
No, they´re not installed in the clubs, that´s true. But what i really meant was that the Traktor s4 is a very professional controller that is used by many successful DJ´s. The dude asked if the controller could be used in clubs, of course it can! But if he asked if he would find a DJ controller in clubs then that would be another case.
@RealDJblaze No there's no delay in the video, it's just i have a hercules RMX and no matter if i plug it into my pc (which is powerful) or my laptop theres a delay in button presses. So using the cue button is near enough impossible. Thanks for the help though!
@wollhead if your only going to buy the S4 like me, all you need is the S4 and the software that comes with it. Thats It! well obviously you need a sound system of some sort, but in the long run, if you were to buy a mixer and turntables and soundcards and software, it equals out just buying the S4. hope this helped

whats the story with the microphone.. it it just the volume control u can use or can u apply it to a channel and set change the eq to suit your voice

@RealDJblaze Oh so this is just for playing your music at shows and such. Well what are djs doing during a show when they look really busy as if they were creating the song as it goes?
Is there much delay or lag from pressing a cue button and actually hearing it? Or is that based on how powerful your pc is?

Im 15 and actually just started djing, id prefer using something similar to the mixtrack pro by numark before using a traktor, and its really cheap too!
so is it bit annoying that u have to switch mic phone and headphone in between? or is there any settings we can do which allow us to speak through headphone on traktor s4 software?

I am 16 years old and I have used older versions of Traktor with a Numark x6; but most recently I've been using a Numark NS7. I am not an Analog Dj but mainly a well prepared, clean, solid dj mixer. I am looking to buy this to try to do fancier stuff and minor analog tricks. But would you recommend it to me.?

Question: how can you have 4 track decks and 2 sample decks at the same time? ;O Traktor only supports 4 decks.
My controller broke and im interested in buying a traktor controller and i was wondering why would i buy the s4 if the 2 extra decks are useless?. Thanks.

Hahah - It's pretty awesome.
Traktor will indeed lag mid ranged PC's but on Mac it runs smoothly
never had issues with their products (the buttons becoming less sensitive to touch or wearing out)
just wondering why the platters are rubbish iyo
how would you compare the s4 to the numark ns6?? which one would you buy if you wanted club standard??
to use timecodes on this s4 do i need to upgrade to traktor scratch? or can i use the software that it comes with.?
the review would of been so much better if the music didn't sound so all over.... and the maybe subtitles but nice to have a look at the unit

this thing can party all the time, remeber the time with LPs to get the Bpm right, thats history. this is the pro dj set , aint gonna find better then this. just dont ruin the song with all the options you have,lol ps in the options you can make deck C and D visibel
Issues with the S4: Platters are rubbish.
Traktor is temperamental and will lag most mid ranged PC's
Takes a while for songs to read and load.
Deck buttons have a lip around them making them less sensitive to touch, and the effects 1/2 buttons, as well as other frequently used buttons will wear out and become tedious to turn off and on quickly.
