The Ishizu Tear mirror is one of the most absurd things I’ve seen in a long time. The fact that you can accidentally start your OPPONENT’S combos by milling Tears off the top of their deck is really frustrating. It feels like instead of getting sacked you’re sacking yourself.

Iirc the logic behind the 1 druiswurm with no magnamhut is to search it with your opponent's magnamhut by stealing it with dharc
Hey! You could have activated scream CL3 and agido CL2 to be sure you can add cryme (agido could have milled it). Great vid as always!
Note: If you detached Reino instead of Scheiren with Dweller, you could've summoned Kaleido too. Then pop Kaleido with Perlereino, revive Kaleido, send Sulliek and search Havnis. An even better board.

@Redgrave Mr.D I still honestly do not see how anyone can enjoy playing sky strikers... I mean, mecha-clad waifu cards I suppose? That deck honestly looks like one of the most boring things to play I can imagine.
Honestly not looking forward to going to tournaments and possibly facing this deck. Like I love playing competitively, but this deck genuinely puts me off playing.

Just a small tip, do not put out rulkallos until your opponent's turn. If you put it out, on your turn, they have priority in draw phase to super poly you. Putting it out after dweller resolves prevents that.
Then again you could just be good and cut their super polys to the bottom.
Really goes to show Konami does not give a shit about game balance with the ban list when something like Knightmare Mermaid is banned because it can send 1 card from the deck to the GY. When this exist exists lol
Well at the time it was banned because it made it so every single deck played orcust. That said, with harp banned it could come back and yeah they could work on having better balanced sets
I play Zefra. Not sure but I’m pretty sure that combo ends at 10:58 IF I go first and put up Shenshen because Kit would be banished instead of going to GY. Main decking Shifter and also siding macro cosmos and dimension fissure.
Hoping for that E Banlist. Otherwise likely gonna take a break from the game for a few months.

Picked this deck up cuz i thought it would be really fun to play. This deck I feel needs a very good pilot to be effective. Got the rest of my Ishizu stuff a few days ago. Still learning the deck and after a few days I feel like I'm still nowhere near good enough with combo lines to be as effective with this deck as some of the better players.
This variant is NUTS though. I have a separate Danger package set aside for when I'm dueling with friends and they don't want to play against this variant. Still pretty good though.
Now is a GREAT time to take a break from this game! Anyone reading this, do literally anything else with your time for the next few months. This is not fun, for anyone.

I played against two players with this exact deck at locals, it sucks to watch yourself literally lose and have to mill 5-10 cards before I can even do my first draw phase. I should have scooped in hindsight and watched other people play

My BEWD deck stands 0 chance against this. Much shame because I can fight against Spright, Flow, Branded, Crsytal but can not do anything not a single play against Tear Ishizu. Why would they make a deck this strong

It's the ishizu cards that make the deck as consistent as it is. It is possible that even without the ishizu cards, the deck would be just as powerful with the the new kashtira tear adding another layer of milling but we have no way of knowing unless we look at testing
Arguably, the real issue with the milling is the fact that it effects both players, so it can lead to toxic mirror matches as well as giving you information and taking away the opponent's resources
Come to think of it, for the most part, in the ishizu tear builds the non fusion extra monsters help with consisting or give you a way to stall or break boards under d barrier.
The other builds are where the lack of a fusion locked matter more. Curious, apollousa, griffin.
There better be an emergency ban list. But of course, konami is not going to because of $$$$

A chokepoint is definitely the mill 6 or 8, but I'd likely side out for board breakers since they only put up one omni negate.

I just know, for a fact, I'd fuck this up. I'd go for a mill, be stupid, and only fusion like Kitkallos, into Kaleido-Heart for some reason. I'd completely forget Baronne, any of the Links, and I'd be lost with the Ishizu cards.
And then I'd forget about time, and just get instant DQ'd.
What's worse is that, the instant fusion draw could have been used to get kailedoheart, then end phase gets destroyed and returns because he was destroyed by card effect.

Orange Light is a strong possibility. Plus if you don't draw it the mills are really devastating to Floow, because Floow will have a lot of their key cards put into the grave, which means Stri/Toucan can often end up being overworked.
@@superbr0ws015 This is how Runick beats Flunder. Because if Empen gets banished, Toccan starts getting overworked. And of course, once all 4 targets are gone, you’re REALLY struggling for Normals
I'll be playing 1 tournament after the DW deck drops then going into hiatus. Getting sick of playing exclusively against Tear decks... and my locals is playing builds that end on 3 Tax Dragon plus negates, still board 4+ negates through Shifter, while also dodging Nib, searching floodgates, and/or handlooping you. A bit more creative than the normal copy pastes but being 1 of the only 2 people not playing a $4000 Tear deck is hell.
Either join them or stop playing the game...

I disagree about cutting out grave keepers trap and exchange of the spirit. Having exchange in your graveyard while Kelbek triggers grave effect means you can keep looping your traps, like tearlaments cryme or sulliek. And if you take out grave keepers trap then you eliminate mudoras in hand effect, an effective way to get your agido or Kelbek from hand into graveyard.
Mudora Hand effect is still good, you just can‘t search (the search is optional); the cards are just Not good enough for the consistency hit

Going 1st
D-Shifter (No Orange Light), Cosmos, D-Fissure, DD Ground and Silent Graveyard. Dimensional Barrier iffy as they can go into Bagooska if you're playing a deck with mainly monster effects and possibly stall you that way.
Going Second
D-Shifter (No Orange Light)
Mystic Mine (with alt wincons needed as they could quite happily let you deck out otherwise)
Nibiru can be impacful if you hit them nearer the end of the combo if they don't have Baronne and they've used Meril/Scherein/Havnis already. But you also have to have a deck that can accept 10-15 card mills on their turn (and yours)
Everything else going second is a minor tickle.

If you somehow get insane luck activating Shifter consistenly and your opponent never/almost never has Orange Light, sure. Going 1st is usually auto win though.

This deck is straight up not fun to play against and I watched a mirror match at my locals and it looks like a nightmare
this end board is really not that strong i mean , if you use rukallos negate then you will not be able to resolve neither tears traps. if you use spright link , then you lose your dweller lock for next turn . the only good thing on this board is baronne emand its not even a tearlament card lmao

I had a tear core waiting for the ishuzu cards, but I didn't realize how complex the deck is. I'm sure we all have stuff going on in our lives, but I personally don't want to play something this complex. Especially since I'm going to be playing for the first time in a year. I rather play something a lot more simple. I'm hoping other decks can do something to this deck this format. If not then I guess I shall wait until they hit this deck somehow. Only time will tell.

This deck already is getting hate, but I love this deck. It’s very interactive and highlights Yugioh’s best features, playing on the opponent’s turn.
Agreed, it's cool, just shouldn't be pushing every other deck of the format out. This needs to be seriously tuned back on a banlist or Konami needs to provide other decks a more consistent way to contend with it
