I'm including that in the time count. I watch all that stuff, but it's not part of the main episode, so it's padding the video length while the episodes stay the same. I'm not really sure what I mean by all this, I'm not offended or anything, just an observation, I guess.
Micah Philson One of the editors here! Yeah, this one is short. Because we're not constrained by TV runtimes, we edit to story, not time. That means the time on episodes will vary quite a bit. To get the flow correct for a longer-than-12-minute runtime on this one, we would have had to make the episode over twenty minutes, which doesn't fit with the viewing habits of most of our fans (be sure to watch for surveys about that from ZOE if you disagree... The answers are taken very seriously). So we chose the shorter time, which preserved a more standard runtime for subsequent episodes. I hope that makes sense.
Yeah, and one of the things I love best about ZOE is that fact that you guys aren't constrained by TV! You fit the story you want to tell to the format you want to do it with and use direct input from your fanbase to modify that to their tastes and preferences! 1) The dwarf actor needs to be a little less silly, more mature. IMHO. 2) People questioned whether the sword could be heard? Really?? Seemed obvious to me.
