Seeing the scene jump from Tom recording Carrow to talking to Perf makes me believe that bards are the reason we’re told not to split the party because it makes it harder to track.

Also, I feel like it needs to be said... I'm not a huge fan of the "upgraded" orc makeup. It seems like it crowds elements of their faces and makes them less expressive than they have been in past seasons. The problem is lessened by the fact that the orcs spend a lot of the season in human form, but I felt like the issue needed to be raised.

just watched all the episodes back to back and tbh i enjoyed season 1 and 2 more.
splinte111 I personally liked the first one the best but before this one has ended, I can't say how high among it's peers I'd rate it.... not that it matters anyway.
My biggest problem is that the characters and general universe feels so different from the last 2 seasons.
i think I favored season 2. hard to say. but 3 was a tad weak. too much time at the bar. Carrow's plot was pretty good though.

I found myself using the "Onward" for a character in one of our group's games. Not quite the same character but a juicey bit of personality adopted. Great to get the missing pieces bound back in.

i gotta say, I think i really liked how the orcs looked in season 2 best, these, rubber masks? look unsettling, and the cloaked one looks very different, but same guy right?
Anyway the orcs are always hilarious. "Our laws will keep us safe!" they're great.

It would make sense, as in the Gamers 3 there were some people who spoke orcish and then were gone with a weird flash of light...

Well, I know about that one as well and I wouldn't say that it's the main connection, it's only one of the many... the two series is in the same multiverse, just as Natural One and Humans and Households. If I'm not mistaken it was already confirmed by ZOE. (Speaking of ZOE, Rude Mechanical is also seems to be part of this continuity)
What I'm trying to figure out is this: Is the JQ world and the Shadow's realm the same or not. The genie exists in the JQ and the R9E world, but we didn't see him in the RPG sessions, not in Gamers, not in the Dorkness Rising. I think Westhaven is the first sign that indicates that JourneyQuest is in the same world as the adventures in Gamers and Gamers2 (which are the same, judging by the presence of the Sadow)
Great season so far, though it surprises me to hear the make up for the orcs had gotten more expensive. I thought it looked less weird before, somehow. Oh well, they are always a joy to see on screen anyways, I just *love* their sobplot!^^

Dang, y'all changed so many actors, its like so clear who you replaced.
The only role we recast was Nara. Every other ongoing character is played by the same actor as in the first two seasons, up to and including the dead elf.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel that 4 episodes deep and absolutely nothing has happened so far?
So it seems what is happening is they are setting up plot. The past two seasons were more of drifting plots- displaying the characters and the show's potential. This season is going deeper into the characters, and setting up a grander plot as well as many sub plots on collision course with the grander plot. I assume a miniclimax will end the season to actually kick in some action for Season 4. --My take.
Well, let's see, Wren learned the next plan of the wicked kings and is now in a deep moral conflict whether to tip the heroes off or not, Carrow has fried himself with divine magic and is now frustrated and more inclinded than ever to turn to the dark side, Perf got himself laid and set up a potential big jealousy drama with Nara orcs have just infiltrated the village and Glorion has arrived as well, intent on beating the shit out of Perf and claim the sword of fighting for himself. I wouldn't call that nothing, though I concede much of it was merely setup for the hopefully exciting events to come. To quote master Silvertongue: I fear we are drowing in subplots. ;-)
I felt this season they spent too much time in that little town, but maybe that's just me.
