I was wondering if US based companies are really hiring remote workers outside of the US. Or even if its remote you gotta be in the US So I know atleast when applying for jobs where my focus should be.
It's hard to say because every company is very different but tech companies due to tend to have a lot of remote contractors. At my company we have a lot on the development teams.
Company websites first, I would apply directly through them when possible then branch out. I recommend Welcome To The Jungle (Otta), BuiltIn, LinkedIn, Wellfound
Hey Stephanie👋🏼 Great video! Can you give me some advice on how to land a job in the US? I've sent a lot of cv to us companies but none has granted me an interview yet. And since I don't a have a working visa I can't just go there and get a job, but I would very much do so because there is no design related industry in my country and so there are very very few job openings.
Thanks for your kind words about the video! I totally understand your frustration with finding a job in the US. I don't have any experience with this but here are a few tips: focus on companies that sponsor visas, network with people in the US, consider a work visa program, look at remote contract positions
I graduated from a bootcamp and haven’t gotten any offers but just ghosting and rejection, i was really struggling with did I even have projects that were good enough to make myself marketable which led to me self doubting and feel incompetent as a designer
It's completely normal to feel discouraged after facing rejections, especially after a bootcamp. Remember, the job market can be tough, and it's not always a reflection of your skills.
Fantastic video. Its so complex because sometimes things feel better, sometimes they feel worse
It's so tough out there; also love your channel btw!
@ thank you 🥰
I am considering UI UX Design from coursecareers in March. I have always been creative and enjoyed things like web design, and graphic design.
💯

Also methods of application I guess? Like job listing websites or the company websites.
